"Are you at work today?" Josh inquired after a while of silence and Joe nodded his head gently sighing sitting up slightly. He knew it was because of his job that this whole argument had started. He thought Demi was exaggerating but at the same time he thought he wouldn't want her in a dangerous job. He couldn't imagine Demi doing something like what he was doing but he didn't want to give up his job. He loved it.

"In the afternoon until eight." Joe breathed.

"It might be good for you to go, get your mind away from all this. Take your space as well as allowing Demi hers." Joe sighed nodding his head again.

"I just hope this is all because she's hormonal. I don't want anything to happen to us. I want to get married to her and I want to raise the babies with her in the same house. I don't want to have to travel to see my kids." Joe expressed.

"I know what you mean, I couldn't imagine not seeing Mason everyday and that's just now when he's still small. When he's older and talking I'd want to see him everyday more." Josh agreed and Joe groaned throwing his head back.

"Can we do something?" Joe inquired and Josh nodded his head this time getting up from the bed.

"Come on, we'll go shopping with Willa and Mason or something until you have to go to work." Josh encouraged and Joe climbed out of bed too smoothing out his hair before following his brother downstairs. He grabbed his wallet, phone and keys before they both left the house.

Demi sighed as she sat at the dinner table that night with her parents. She knew she'd always have a home with her parents no matter what happened between her and Joe. She hated seeing him beaten up like he was and it hurt her that he thought he had to lie to her to make things easier for them both.

"Come on Demi, you should be happy to share dinner with your old man." Eddie tried to cheer her up.

"I often have dinner with you dad, Joe is normally just sat next to me. I hope he's okay." Demi frowned as they all helped themselves to the vegetables in the centre of the table.

"Give him a call if you're that bothered Demi." Dianna suggested to her but Demi shook her head.

"He'll be at work." Demi mumbled.

"There's not much we can do to help you Demi but you can't stop him from doing a job that he loves just because he might get hurt. He could be walking down the street with you and get hit by a car. His job doesn't determine anything Demi." Eddie urged and Demi sighed playing with the food on her plate.

"You think I'm being unreasonable? Honestly." Demi questioned them both and they both nodded this heads at the same time.

"But Demi you have to remember you are hormonal at the moment, trust me. When I was pregnant with you Patrick brought be a glass of orange juice with bits in and I wanted smooth, I thought it was the end of the world," Demi let out a breathless laugh. "Just give him a call after dinner and see if you can patch things up. You're having babies now so you've got to somewhat get on."

"I know, I'll give him a call." Demi assured them. She hoped she might be sleeping in her own bed tonight with Joe next to her, if he wanted to even speak to her. She wouldn't blame him if he didn't.

Demi sighed as her call went straight to voicemail. She knew his phone was on, he either hadn't heard it ring, he was working or he was ignoring her. She couldn't help but think it was the last one. She tried again a couple more times before she put her phone down sighing. She wanted to give him space but she was desperate to talk to him so they can get through their first proper argument and continue to be in love. She knew she'd never stop loving him, she was sure he was the man she was supposed to be with.

"Demi! Can you get the door!" Dianna called from the kitchen and Demi got up from the couch heading towards the door. She was somewhat surprised when she saw Josh stood there. She only became concerned when she saw he was on the verge of crying and she could see he already had been crying.

"Josh, what's wrong?" Demi questioned.

"Can I come in? We should sit down." Josh breathed and Demi agreed allowing him in the house leading the way into the living room where they both took a seat. Josh couldn't help but lean over holding her hands.

"It's Joe isn't it." Demi feared and he hesitated but nodded his head.

"A riot has happened in the prison, the inmates have taken seven hostages them all being prison guards. Joe is one one them." He explained to her and Demi almost felt as if the world stopped around her.

Her biological father died because of a prison riot. She couldn't help but worry the same would come for Joe.
