"Your room is so cute!" Hana exclaims.

I glance around the pink-ass room and realize that everything is pink. The walls, the carpets, the bedsheets, pillows, curtains, everything. Am I in Sharpay Evans's room?

"I know right," Aya shrugs.

"Well go on then, show us your outfits," I tell her.

She displays three dresses that look identical. "You're right they're so different! Agh this one is like a kind of burgundy and the other is more mauve and the trimming is—"

I walk towards her vinyl player and flip through her stack of records as they continue to debate over different shades of purple.

"Who's Vancouver Sleep Clinic?" I ponder.

"Listen and find out," Aya tells me.

I do as I'm told and put the record on, they're not bad. I sit on the floor and lean back against her wall as she tries on the dresses. Finally, after what feels like a damn century, she makes a decision.

She picked the purple one.

"Have fun on your date," I tell her.

"Thanks," she applies some lipstick on.

"Who is it, anyway?" Hana asks.

"My boyfriend."

Hana and I exchange surprised expressions, I didn't know she had a boyfriend.

"YOU HAVE A BOYFRIEND? SINCE WHEN?" Hana shrieks.

"Since like two years ago," Aya shrugs.

Aya picks up on our surprise and sighs. "Okay, guys chill it doesn't actually count... We haven't talked for months. It was kind of a hookup thing but then we were kind of official, I don't know. But then we stopped talking, anyways he's in town so we're going out," she very confusingly explains.

I shrug, not really my business anyway. "Have fun."

"Can't wait for tonight," she sighs.

Hana grimaces, "Oh my God. Please tell me you're a virgin!"

Aya looks at Hana's judgmental facial expression and shrugs, "Yeah."

"Uft, good," Hana tells her.

I frown at Hana's comment and look at them. Why does it matter if she is or isn't? It's her choice, isn't it?

"What are you guys doing tonight?" Aya asks.

"Shopping with my mom," Hana says.

"Not surprising," Aya sighs and turns to me. Oh.

"I'm not sure. Adrien invited me to this party but—"

"Wait, what?"

"... I said—"

"I KNOW WHAT YOU SAID! Aww, Adrien asked you out! You said yes, right?" she's practically jumping in excitement.

"He didn't ask me out, he just asked if I wanted to go to the party—"

"You don't get it. Adrien doesn't personally ask anyone to parties unless he's interested in them. You need to go," she tells me.

"So true! Aww, our girl has an admirer!" Hana adds.

I snort. "You guys read into shit too much. Doesn't matter anyway because I told him I have plans with my mom tonight," I tell them.

"Ha, see? I'm not the only one hanging out with her mom!" Hana chirps in.

We ignore her comment. "Let's do something tomorrow," Aya adds.

"Let's go to Clem's house!" Hana suggests.

My stomach tangles up in panic, "No!"

They look at me in confusion. "Um... I just mean my mom's redecorating so I can't have anyone over right now," I lie.

"That's fine, you guys can come to mine," Aya suggests

We nod and exchange goodbyes.

"Hi, sweetie."

I pace around the living room, I've already put Harry Potter on and changed into a comfy pair of pajamas. "Hey, mom, where are you? I was thinking we could get Chinese—"

"Oh, baby I'm so sorry... That's why I called you. I have to cancel our plans tonight. There was a literal disaster, and the studio is running an extra three hours of recording," she tells me.

I tense up, a familiar feeling sinking into my stomach. Disappointment.

"I'm so sorry, sweetie..."

I clench my jaw, "It's fine."

"Minty, I—"

I hang up, not really wanting to listen to her excuses at the moment. I sigh deeply and sink back onto the couch, wondering why I'm still disappointed by this. It's not like it should be a surprise to me by now.

I'll call Eric. Maybe he'll want to watch Harry Potter with me instead.

"Hey, Minty."

"Hey, what're you doing tonight?"

There's a pause at the end of the line, "... Uh, staying in. Most likely."

"Do you wanna come over for a Harry Potter movie marathon? Mom bailed and—"

"Can I take a rain check? I don't feel too hot tonight," he cuts me off.

I frown at his coldness, he's acting strange. "Okay... Uh, get well soon then. I'll see you some other time?"

"Yeah, thanks."

I hang up and knit my eyebrows in confusion, that was the weirdest phone call we've ever had. I sigh deeply and groan into the couch when my phone goes off. I smile when I think it's Eric calling, but that's quickly wiped off when I don't recognize the caller ID.

"Hello?"

"Hey, Clementine."

I frown, "Sorry, who is this?"

"Uh... It's Adrien haha."

I lift my eyebrows in surprise, oh right. Shit that must make him feel weird, I didn't save his number. "Oh, hey," I tell him. "What's up?"

"Just calling to check if you were coming tonight."

I pause, "Uhm... I don't know."

"Come on, it'll be fun. I really want you to come."

My face contorts at his persistence. "I would, but I don't have a ride."

I'm not lying, Tony hasn't had the time to ship over my cruiser yet. I miss my baby so much.

"No problem, I'll come pick you up. Text me your address," he offers.

I begin panicking, "You don't have to do that!"

"No, I want to."

I'm rendered speechless at the sweetness of that, "Alright, then."

I feel his smile from the other end of the line, "Cool. Send me your location, I'll be there as soon as I can."

I sigh deeply and send him the location of a nearby restaurant, I'm already regretting this.
