"I'm glad you came out," I tell Emoni.

She shrugs, "Of course, hun. How have you been?"

"I'm good. I just missed you," I say.

She nods, "I've missed you too. You know you can come over any time you want, right?"

I shake my head, "I know, I know. I've just been busy."

She waggles her eyebrows, "I heard. You have a boyfriend, now?" My eyebrows slam down, "What? How do you know that?"

She shrugs and takes a sip of coffee, "Bullied it out of your mom." I snort, how typical of her to bully information out of people. "Yeah, I guess. Things are... Intense," I tell her.

Her eyes pop, "How so? Have you done it yet?"

A blush spreads across my cheeks. "No! What? No. We haven't—I mean I haven't—ugh, that's not what I meant. I mean he wants me to open up to him, and I can't. Obviously. And also I've been working on a project with some guy and he's been acting like a jealous little bitch about it," I complain.

She nods thoughtfully, "Sex fixes everything. Suck his dick."

I roll my eyes at her, "Oh my God, Emoni. Be anymore crude, I beg."

She laughs at me. "What? So you're saving yourself until you looooove him?" she taunts.

I narrow my eyes at her, "Ha. No, I'm just saying we haven't done anything like that yet. We've only officially been together for like a month. It's too early for anything like that, right?"

"Yet," she reiterates with a cocked brow and studies me. She finally shrugs, "Babe listen. I'm not the one you should come to for the right time. To me, it's not a big deal. It's just sex, there isn't a right time. If you really want to do it, then do it. But don't do it because of anyone else, do it because you want to."

I blow out a huff, questioning how we came to this topic in the first place. Oh, right.

Emoni is inappropriate and crude.

"But honestly, I'm not good with the emotional side of sex. If you want advice on that, talk to your mom," she lifts her hands up in mock-surrender.

"Emoni," I groan. "That's not even what the problem is. Sex isn't the issue. It's the whole opening up shit," I tell her.

She shrugs. "Hm. Well, maybe try spending some time with him. Go on a date and do something fun, you might end up opening up in more ways than one," she winks.

I grimace in revulsion and laugh, shoving her lightly.

She grins and finishes her cup of coffee. "I gotta run. But in case you do end up... Opening up," she bends down and reaches for her purse. She pulls something out and places it on my lap, "Enjoy."

Blood rushes to my cheeks when I realize she has set a condom on my lap. I quickly shove in my bra, completely horrified. She laughs at my reaction, "Relax. It's just a condom, it's not going to kill you."

She stands to leave, smirking before saying, "Might just hurt you a little, though."

I groan as she laughs and rushes off. Emoni is a literal child. Well, she was completely useless.

"Can I get you anything else?" the waitress asks me.

I give her a polite smile, "No, I'm okay thank you. I'll just get the bill."

"Of course," she out a piece of paper and hands it to me.

I clear my throat and pull out the money as my phone goes off. I read the caller ID, it's Adrien. I swear this kid has my phone bugged. The waitress flashes me a dimpled smile and walks away, thanking me for the tip.

I stand as I answer the phone. "Hey, where are you?" are the words that come out of his mouth.

"Um. I'm at some café up by Silver Lake—"

"Stay there. I'm picking you up," he tells me.

My eyebrows knit together. "Why? Isn't your party tonight? It's only three in the afternoon," I tell him.

"I'm taking you on a date," he says simply before hanging up.
