I settle for an oversized fluffy dark purple hoodie and black leggings for the gathering before heading to Aya's. Aya, Hana and I are lounging on Aya's bed, killing time before Ashu's gathering.

"Aya, can you please clean this room up? Aren't you ashamed to let your friends see how much of a slob you are?" Aya's mother whines from her door.

Hana and I snort.

"Mamaaaa! They know I'm disgusting and accept me anyway," Aya whines.

Aya's mom narrows her eyes to slits. "Mama, can you buy us Reese's peanut butter cups?" Aya sits up on her bed and looks at her mother pleadingly.

She frowns, "No! You look like a Reese's peanut butter cup! You will get fat! Mama buy me McDonald's! Mama, I want Subway! Buy me PF Chang's! You will die because of all this junk food!" her mother proceeds to pick up Aya's dirty clothes as Hana and I die of laughter.

"Subway is healthy!" Aya argues.

"Okay, then make your own sandwich at home. We have food in the fridge!"

"You know, ordering food is just a waste of money," Hana shrugs. "And it's so unhealthy. Like McDonald's? Those fries are so old! And they keep re-cooking them in dirty oil. It's much healthier to make a nice salad at home from fresh vegetables," Hana continues.

Aya and I glare at her, while Aya's mother nods her head in approvement.

"Shut up, Hana!" Aya hisses.

"Why can't you be more like her?" Aya's mom folds her arms across her chest, her eyebrows are slammed down.

It's at this moment I realize Hana is truly an idiot, because she continues.

"I can give you a few healthy recipes that are really easy to make if you want a substitution for junk food," she offers Aya, "It's important to have a balanced diet."

"Seriously, Hana? Shut up with your infomercial. You sound like a forty-year-old virgin," I snap at her.

"No, no! You two should be more like her! Why couldn't you be my daughter?" she shakes her head in disappointment as she looks between Aya and Hana.

I laugh at this, poor Aya.

"Anyway. Don't bother me, I'm going to take a nap," Aya's mom shoots us a knowing smile before she darts out of the room.

We all look at each other in silence.

I shrug, "So... Pizza Hut?"

"Hi, mama. Yeah, everything's fine. Yeah, we just got to her house... Okay," Hana presses a hand to her ear as she speaks to her mom over the phone.

I flip through Aya's family album. "Your older brother's hot," I tell her.

Aya shoots me a disgusted expression, "Ew. Stop. That's like me saying your dad is hot."

I grimace, "Okay, gross. Would still fuck your brother though," I tease with a wink.

"Take me, daddy!" Aya taunts.

My face fills with revulsion, I throw the family album at her head. She laughs and falls to the floor, "Abuse!"

"Yeah. Okay... I'll call you. Okay. Thanks, mama. I love you. Okay, bye."

Aya and I glance towards Hana. This is the fifth time she has called her since we've been here. My eyebrows furrow, "Does her mom always call?" I whisper to Aya.

"Yup," she shrugs.

Hana gets off the phone and turns back to us with a smile, "Okay, let me change and we can go!"

Hana sets off to the bathroom with her bag. She comes out a moment later in bright pink jeans and an unflattering white sweater. I press my lips into a thin line, Aya and I exchange bewildered expressions.

"How's this one?" she asks.

"..."

"..."

"Hana... You look like a three-year-old," I tell her.

She frowns as she looks down at her outfit, "This is cute, okay?"

"..."

She rolls her eyes at our silence, "Whatever. I'll show you the other one."

She comes out with an even more horrendous outfit, which is quite hard to do. She's wearing baggy white trousers with a belt, and a tacky, extremely unflattering black top that makes her look fifty years older than she is.

"Well?" she seems proud of her choice. I want someone to shoot my eyeballs with a BB gun.

"Now you look like your nana," I tell her simply.

Aya laughs, "She's right. I don't know what the hell that is," Aya grimaces and shakes her head at her outfit.

Hana huffs, "Just pick one, okay?"

"Go for the three-year-old look," I dismiss her.

Hana stalks off to the bathroom and changes back to her first outfit. Aya digs through her closet and pulls out black leggings and a cute black top, slipping them on.

"You look cute," I tell her.

"I know right. This makes my ass look great," she shrugs.

I snort and shake my head at her, Hana walks back out and shrugs, "Ready?"

I nod while Aya touches up her make-up. Hana studies Aya and shrugs, "Why don't you try something a little more colorful?"

"Because she doesn't want to look like a Crayola box. Now let's go," I tug at their arms, we're already late.

I need to see Eric.
