I make my way up the bleachers to where Aya and Hana are sitting. Aya hands me a hot dog and we focus our attention on the game that's about to begin. The team players get into position, shouting at each other some commands.

As the game progresses, I watch Adrien play his heart out. He takes my advice, I can see the smile on his lips every time his teammates score or throw a nice pass. I see the smirk on his face when he knows he's going to make it, that he's undefeatable.

I surprise myself and scream at the top of my lungs for him. The game is coming to an end and they're tied. The last playoff will determine whether or not the team goes into the semi-finals.

The crowd goes dead silent as the tension rises. No one dares breathe in fear of missing something. Adrien glances around the crowd, searching for something. His gaze stops on me, making my heart drop into my stomach.

I muster an awkward smile nonetheless and give him a lame half-wave. He smiles back at me, wiping the sweat off his brow-bone and giving me a quick wink. I can't help but cringe. Thank God he's sexy.

What are you doing, Adrien? Focus on your game.

You got this, I mouth, hoping he goes away now that the attention is on us. He nods in response, flashing me a smile.

God, that was corny.

I pinch the bridge of my nose in embarrassment and hope my cheeks aren't flushed. Aya is fangirling, but of course, she would. She loves this sappy corny romantic shit. I, unfortunately, don't.

I hear a snort behind me and I glance back to find Ashton staring at Adrien in amusement. I frown, he's annoying. I roll my eyes at him and turn back to watch the game.

Adrien gets into position, motioning for his teammate to pass him the ball. He catches it like he had a million times before and sprints at an inhuman speed to the other side. A guy that looks like the goddamn Mountain comes at him from the side, catching him by surprise.

Adrien's eyes go wide. He halts immediately, stopping right before the guy can run into him. The guy runs past him, too confused to stop in time and falls over. There's a roar of laughter from the crowd. Adrien smirks and gets back into his zone, sprinting to the finish line.

The crowd goes berserk, and I join them. Pride oozes from my pores. I'm not sure why this sudden overwhelming feeling of pride overcomes me, but I suddenly forget about everyone. Perhaps it's because I am genuinely beginning to care for Adrien.

Perhaps it's because I actually want to be with him?

His teammates run to him and tackle him, cheering him on. I swear, guys are so weird. They pick him up and the crowd cheers his name. Aya and Hana smirk at me knowingly, motioning for me to run to him.

I roll my eyes and make my way down to the field smiling, despite myself.

"Your girl's here," Dustin tells Adrien. My heart sinks slightly.

His girl, huh? I guess I am.

Adrien glances back and sees me, his cheeks are flushed slightly. He shoves them away and makes his way towards me, "Come here, you."

I jump into Adrien's arms, not caring that everyone is watching my intimate display of affection. My legs wrap around his hips as his arms encase my waist tightly. I entwine my hands in his hair, tugging him close. I don't care that he's sweaty, it's kind of hot, actually.

I feel him inhale my scent. "You smell really good," he whispers against my neck.

"Wish I could say the same," I breathe.

He lets out a small laugh and I smile to myself. "You were amazing tonight," I tell him.

He sets me down gently, arms still tight around my waist. He looks into my eyes and smiles, "Thanks, Clem. You made me realize just how much I like you tonight."

My heart drops. This is the first time he actually told me he's into me. "Same," I say lamely.

Honestly, I'm unable to form proper words. This is unknown territory for me. His eyes light up and he pulls me in for a passionate kiss. I kiss him back, and it feels better every single time. I cup his face in my hands while his clutch my hips. I kiss him deeply one more time before pulling away.

He looks disoriented and breaks into a goofy grin. "Clementine, will you please be my girlfriend?"

I snort. "Sure, Adrien. I'd love to," I respond without much thought. It's the next step people take, I suppose. Why not, right?

"ADRIEN! Kate's throwing a celebratory party at hers. Let's go, bro!" some meathead from biology class yells at him.

Adrien nods at him. "You ready?" he asks me.

"As much as I'd love to, I have to go home. I have dinner plans with my parents," I shrug.

"Seriously?" Adrien sighs in disappointment.

I nod. "That sucks, but okay. Need a ride home, then?" he asks as he picks up his helmet.

"I'm good, thanks. Aya's dropping me off," I tell him.

He nods, "I'll text you?"

I smile at him as he gives me a quick kiss and takes off for the boys' locker room.

I sigh deeply and smile to myself. My attention is averted to the bleachers where Ashton is sitting back with his arms folded across his chest and a smirk on his smug face. What is his deal?

"I GOT THE ENTIRE THING ON TAPE!" Aya shrieks, pulling me out of my trance.

Hana has a gigantic smile on her face, "Oh my god goals! That was so cute!"

I chuckle. "You guys shouldn't be eavesdropping on our conversation," I scold them.

"No one asked you to go into a full-blown make-out session in the middle of the football field," Aya snaps.

I press my lips together and remain quiet for a moment, then I burst out laughing. "Good point, I have nothing to say to that."
