Oh, thank God.

My period finally came. And on April fools. Ha. Hilarious. Not that I'd usually be ecstatic about this information, but I was late and beginning to worry. When I mentioned it to Ashton he panicked like a little girl, I should probably relieve him of his mental breakdown now. I snort to myself, what fun would that be?

"Babeeee what's up? Miss you!" Aya answers on the first ring.

I smirk, "Aya, I need you to do a favor for me..."

"ASHTON? I need to talk to you!"

"I'm in my room!" he calls out.

I take a deep breath before making my way to his room. Ashton's on his stomach, sprawled across his bed. He's scrolling through his Instagram feed with a bored expression on his face.

"Ashton, I need to talk to you."

"What's up?" he sits up and turns his attention to me, glad to be distracted from his boredom.

I walk over to him, sitting at the edge of his bed with one leg crossed and the other dangling loosely above the floor. He gives me a concerned look as I blow out a dramatic sigh and start playing with my hair.

"... Is something wrong?"

I clear my throat, "I um... You know how I was worried about my period and everything?"

Ashton's eyes pop open in fear, "Uhm... Yeah? Did it come?"

I shake my head slowly, "No... No, it didn't."

Ashton stares at me expectedly, scared to ask any further questions.

"I threw up this morning—"

He suddenly looks like a deer in headlights, eyes wider than I've ever seen them before, "What? What does that even mean? Do you have the flu?"

I shake my head, "No, Ashton... I'm not sick. I took a pregnancy test..." I pull out the fake pregnancy test I told Aya to get me and clear my throat before handing it to him.

He eyes me slowly, hesitantly reaching for it. He inhales deeply and flips the test over to reveal two bars. I contain my laughter, burying my face in my hands in order to hide my smile. I shake my head in my hands, as though I'm in distress. Once I compose myself, I slowly lift my face to look at him. I've officially given the man a heart attack.

He's frozen in place, staring blankly into nothing, pregnancy test still in his hand.

"... Ashton?"

"..."

"Ashton."

He shakes his head, "Y-you're pregnant?"

I shrug, "I mean, yeah... The test says so, I'm late, and I've been having morning sickness."

He frowns, "But you're on the pill, and we use protection!"

I shake my head, "Um, firstly, no we don't always use protection. Not the second time we did it, that was... Unexpected. Or at the beach. Plus, I switched birth controls—"

He stands as his frown deepens, "WHAT? Clementine! Why didn't you tell me you were changing birth controls, what the fuck? Maybe we should go to the doctor's and the test was wrong—"

"Are you saying I'm lying?" I snap.

He looks panicked, "No! No, of course not... Shit! Listen, I'm just saying sometimes these things are wrong and you need to make sure—"
