I won't deny that it stings. Knowing Eric loves her stings.

I suppose I still have feelings for him, deep down. But if he's in love with her, then that's the end of it. Game over. I can't ruin that, and I won't. He's my best friend, and he deserves to be happy. Isabella seems to make him happy.

She seems like a sweet girl, and I was a bitch to her. I make a mental note to fix that, soon. Besides, I have Adrien now... And I really like him. Eventually, my romantic feelings for Eric will go. I can feel them fading more and more every day.

I reach for my phone and type in Adrien's number.

"Clementine?"

"Adrien, hey!"

My enthusiasm upon hearing his voice surprises me. It's nice hearing his voice, it brings a wave of comfort over me, "What're you up to?"

"Where are you? Are you okay?"

My eyebrows knit together at his worried tone of voice.

"... I'm at home? Yeah, I'm fine, why?"

"I called you last night but you didn't pick up, tried again this morning and still no answer. I thought something happened to you..."

Aw, he's worried about me. How cute.

I grin, "I'm fine, sorry I fell asleep and didn't wake up till late."

"Oh... Okay then, haha... I'm glad you're okay," I can sense his blush over the phone. My grin grows into a full-blown smile.

"Do you want to do something today? I wanna see you," I tell him, gently biting my bottom lip.

"Yeah, I wanna see you too. How does the beach sound?"

"Perfect."

"Hey, babe."

Adrien's eyes nearly bulge out of their place as they rake my body.

"Clem! It's good to see you," he grins and pulls me into a bearhug, and I can't help but notice how different my tits feel pressed up against his bare chest while I'm only wearing a swimsuit. Is that a strange thing to notice?

I laugh lightly. "You too. I feel like we haven't seen each other in ages," I tell him.

"We're gonna have to do something about that," he says, resting his hands on my waist.

He tilts my head up and our lips meet. Damn, he's a good kisser. He pulls back and smiles down at me.

"Race you."

"Um. No way," he wants me to run?

He takes off running anyway. The male brain is a curious thing.

"You cheated."

"I have no idea what you're talking about," I huff.

"You literally tackled me to the floor, planted one on me and ran," he deadpans.

I grin and innocently bat my eyelashes.

He sighs and rolls his eyes at me, "Screw your cuteness."

I let out a laugh, "Don't be such a wuss."

"Me?" he seems offended, "I'm manly as fuck."

"Prove it."

He walks up to me, and just as I'm expecting your typical clichéd kiss that I low-key want, he picks me up and carries me into the water. The freezing water.

"Adrien, no! I can't swim!" I yell out and pretend to drown.

His face falls, wiping off his cocky grin. His eyes grow wide as he dives towards me, he grabs a hold of me and I smirk, pushing his head under water. He comes out coughing and wheezing. I laugh so hard, scared that he's going to retaliate.

Thankfully he doesn't, he just smirks and splashes me with water, "Asshole."

I chuckle, "It's fucking freezing."

"Come here, I'll keep you warm," he motions for me to swim into his arms.

I shake my head, "I don't trust you. Besides, I'll only drown you."

He laughs and swims towards me, wrapping his arms around me. The shock of his cold hands against my bare skin sends goosebumps flying all over my body. He rubs my back, and it surprisingly warms me up. I gently cling onto him, making sure not to hold on too tightly so he doesn't drown.

"You good?" he breathes.

I look up at him and nod, "I'm perfect."
