Prologue

Skyler yawned, and woke up to find Meowstic in front of her. With a purr, he dropped an Awakening in her face. She smiled and sat up. Then it hit her: Today she starts her Alolan Pokemon journey!

She ripped things out of her closet. Her grey jacket, a blue t-shirt, and some dark gray pants. While she threw her jacket on, her Meowstic grabbed her boots and dragged them over to her. "Thanks, Nyx." she said, before she put him in his pokeball. She ran out the house, but stopped because she heard her mother call. "Skyler! Don't you want breakfast?" Skyler sighed, and rolled her eyes. "No thanks, too excited to eat!" she called back.

She had arrived in Iki Town, thanks to Professor Kukui, who she had met along the way. The Kahuna was just showing her the Pokemon. "Here is the Grass-type Rowlet, the Fire-type Litten, and the Water-type Popplio. Which will you choose?"

Skyler looked back and forth. She couldn't ignore the sparkle in the Litten's eyes. "I choose Litten." she said, pointing. "Now we must see if it choo-" But before Kahuna Hala could even finish, Litten jumped into her arms. Professor Kukui gave a chuckle. "Well, that's decided!"
