Skyler's POV

I arrived at the cafe early, so I sat down, closed my eyes, and began to sing:

The only one that I have ever known

Don't know where it goes

When I opened my eyes again, I noticed Gladion was sitting in front of me. I blushed, embarrassed. "You have a nice voice," he stated calmly, as though he didn't notice my embarrassment. "T-thanks." Then he smirked. "Maybe not such an edgy song next time." I grinned, my eyes lighting up with laughter. "Sorry, that's just how I am. You seem edgier than I am, so..."

"Uh huh," he said. "Definitely." I laughed. "So what is this about?" I asked with utmost seriousness. (This made me cringe so hard, lol) "Oh, well...I figured if we're going to both be here, I might as well get to know you." "Oh." "So first question. How many Pokemon do you have?" I thought about it. "One from Alola, my starter. Nyx is from Kalos, and I have my starter from Kanto, which is a Blastoise." He nodded thoughtfully.

I decided to ask him a question. "Alright, my turn. Why do you like smirking at me?" It was a stupid question, I admit, but I wanted to see what would happen. He seemed to contemplate the question for a bit. "I don't have to answer you." he said. "I'm asking the questions!" I stared. "Ooh, edgy," I mocked, copying him from before.

The talk was over almost an hour later. He asked me a bunch of basic questions. I knew more about the mysterious boy, but I still wonder why he invited me...I started off toward my house, and ran in to find Nyx and Litten welcoming me. I had decided on a nickname for him, which was Blaze.

"Hey guys!" I said as they knocked me over in excitement. I smiled, a genuine one, at the love my Pokemon had for me. "I think tomorrow we're going Pokemon hunting! I bet you'd love some friends!" They both nodded, allowing me to get up. "Well, better get some rest," I said, climbing into bed.

(A/n): I will be changing POV based on how it fits the story, not in a continuous pattern. Lillie's POV and Hau's POV will be coming up later in the story, when I see fit. Enjoy - Lavender :3
