Chapter Seven

Skyler's POV

Ilima explained about the barricades and told me to tell Kahuna Hala about my trial completion. But right now, what I wanted was a break. I pulled out my phone as I sat down on the edge of the docks in Hau'oli. I began to play some music I created and sing.

Then I notice someone staring at me. It was Gladion. Caught me singing again! Why world, why!? I stared back. "Uhh..." I began nervously. "How much of that did you hear?" I asked quietly. "All of it.' he responded. I nodded. "Okay, so I was just heading out..." I stood abruptly and walked quickly away. But I swore I could hear Gladion humming it.

"Back to the sanctuary," I muttered. I laid on my bed, staring up at the ceiling of covers. "Skyler! Lunch is ready!" I didn't move. My mom came in, so I pretended to be asleep. She poked her head into my dark fort and saw me. "Hmph, I suppose the trial wore her out..."

When she was gone, I sighed with relief. That was until I heard a knock on my window.
