Chapter 17: Secretly Dating? (Here's a Hint... No!)

Chapter 17

*Patrick's POV*

"Where are you going?" Pete asked, stopping me before I could leave.

We had just finished our set and I was heading to find Emma so that we could go for a walk. "Going for a walk," I said.

"What's with you always going for walks now?" He asked.

I shrugged.

"Is it Emma?"

"What about Emma?"

He paused. "I don't know. It's like you guys are, like, secretly dating or something," he teased.

I was shocked. "What? No!"

"You seem offended that I said that. Even more suspicious."

I sighed. "I'm helping a friend okay? There's nothing going on between us and there never will be."

"Whatever man."

"Pete! Trust me!" I screamed.

He shrugged and walked away. Goddammit! He was so stubborn.

I walked over to the All Time Low bus and find everyone hanging around outside the bus. Zack was teaching Emma to skateboard, Jack and Alex were deep in conversation, Rian was glued to his phone and everyone else was just goofing off and hanging around.

"Hey guys!" I said.

Everyone turned towards me and smiled.

"Hey Patrick!" Emma called over, nearly wiping out as she did so. Zack caught her. "Time to go?" She asked.

I shrugged. "Finish your skateboard lesson."

She smiled. "Okay!"

I sat beside Rian. "Sup man?" He didn't hear me at first. "Rian!"

"Huh?"

I laughed. "Sup man?"

He shrugged.

"Girl?"

He shrugged.

I shook my head. "So who is she?"

"Her name is Kenna."

"I like that name. It's cute."

He nodded. "She's cute."

I laughed. "It seems like you're not going to be the best conversationalist, so talk to you later man."

"Bye," he said, not looking up from his phone.

I moved over to the chair near Jack and Alex. "Hey guys!"

Alex looked over and smiled at me. "Hey Patrick! What's up?"

I shrugged. "Not too much. Pete thinks I'm cheating on my wife with your sister."

He frowned. "Are you?"

"No! Gosh! Why does everyone think that?"

Jack piped up. "You guys do spend a lot of time together."

I frowned. "I guess I'm not allowed to have friends."

"Look, I trust you dude. I also trust my sister, so I know that there is nothing romantic going on with you guys," Alex said.

"It's nice to see Emma socializing, considering how shy she can be," Jack said.

I nodded. "She does seem shy."

"She can be, but there are times when you can't get her to shut up," Alex said, laughing.

Emma walked over as he said that. "Gee thanks, Lex."
