You rolled your eyes at the boy in front of you. "Move." You said harshly. The boy whimpered and fled in terror.
"Tch. Coward." You muttered. You walked in class and everyone stared as you walked to your seat, wondering how you got another scar on your arm and a bruise on your face.
"What? Why you staring at me, damn little kids?" You snapped. They turned back to the front of the class. But one male stared at you in interest.
You flicked your head up and snarled. He flinched and turned back to the front. You smirked. "That's what I thought!" You said softly.
You turned to the window. You recognized him. One of those stupid nerds who was at the top of the class. Tch. So annoying.
"Y/N. Answer for number 5?" The teacher said. "I dunno. They know though. Pick them!" You snapped as you took out your pen.
The teacher glared before calling on the need who had been staring at you. "Negative 56.78!" He said promptly. The teacher smiled at him and nodded.
You 'tch'ed and turned to the window. After class you stood up and ran out. You looked around, no one in sight.
So you pulled out a launcher, your beyblade and headed towards the bey park. Luckily there was no one there. (Or so you thought)
You launched your beyblade and smiled, a true genuine smile. Beyblading was the only thing that made you smile like this.
After at least three hours you were happy with your progress. You picked up your beyblade and smiled.
"Interesting-" You frowned and turned. "You do show emotions." The nerd from today said tapping on his tablet. "Not sure if you'll get far on this tournament though." He added.
You snarled at him. He pushed his glasses up his nose. "What are you doing here?" You said. "I came to-"
"Stalk me?" You cut him off. He shook his head. "No! That's not why!" He said waving his hands frantically.
"Whatever! If you try and stalk me again, I'll break that little tablet of yours!" You said harshly.
He looked terrified at first, but then he smiled. That tablet clearly meant something to him. "You wouldn't."
You walked up to him. He took a step back but you took his tablet. "Try me." You said in a dangerous voice. His eyes widened.
"I believe you." He said reaching for his tablet. You gave it to him grudgingly.
You turned and left. "You weren't always like this right?" He said softly. You flinched but kept walking.
~Flashback~
"Leave me alone!!" You yelled. The female laughed at you. Tears streamed down your cheeks. You stood up in front of her. "Y-you'll regret this!" You said stutrering.
The female laughed. "What ya gonna do? Stutter at me?" She mocked. You ran away.
After a while though, you fought back. Bruises appeared on your face and arms. Scars littered your body. But you fought back.
Those damn bullies? Gone. Scared of you. Good job Y/N. You're ok. It's all over.
~End~
You walked around the school. Ditched class. Normal routine.
You sighed as you picked up a stone. You passed it to one hand to another. Then you threw it as hard as you could to nowhere in particular.
Boring. You walked up the stairs and started climbing up to the roof. It was prohibited here in this school. Like you care.
You sat down and looked up at the sky. You let out a sigh and laid down.
Then the bell rang. You covered your eyes and slept. Who cares that everyone was leaving.
~Naoki's POV~
I walked up the stairs, checking if the coast was clear. I'm pretty sure I was the only one who knew how to get to the roof.
So I took my tablet, straightened my collar, and went up. I know it's forbidden to go up here but it's quiet up here so I like to come.
When I opened the door there was someone already there. I was about to leave when I recognized the H/C hair and the scar on her cheek.
I walked to Y/N slowly. I sat next to her and she shifted. I thought she had woken up but she just turned to me.
I turned my tablet on and started on homework. I was going to finish all of the math homework when Y/N whimpered. I turned to her and she curled into a ball.
She sat up groggily and looked as if she still wanted to sleep. She looked at me and smiled.
Which was odd. Why should she smile at me? I could feel heat crawl up my cheeks. She reached out a hand and brushed it against my cheek.
Then she said, "Shut up Jake. I'm trying to sleep!" She laid down on my lap and fell asleep again. How weird. Who was Jake?
Was I... blushing? My face was definitely red. "You're so beautiful..." I said quietly brushing her H/C hair behind her ears.
~Your POV~
You woke up suddenly. After a weird dream you felt something hugging you. Uh... Who would hug you?
You looked up and saw Naoki hugging you, blushing very badly. "You nerd! Why are you touching me?!" You yelled pulling yourself free.
"Y-you were the one who sat on me!" He said. "No I didn't!" You said frowning. But then you blushed.
Had you mistaked him for Jake? That's who you saw earlier. No. Jake is dead, you reminded yourself. And nothing will bring him back.
"Are you crying?" He asked as he brushed a tear away. You blinked and brought a hand to your eye. Yep. Tears. "N-no!" You snapped.
You wiped your tear away. But you couldn't stop them from falling. You felt your tough girl act start breaking and cracking.
You bit your bottom lip and trembled. "Sometimes... it's ok to cry." He said holding out his arms, inviting you to enter the hug.
He expected you to walk away so he was surprised when you hugged him and released all your pain through tears.
After a while you sat away from him, looking at the sky. "I wasn't crying." You said. "I didn't say you were." He said smiling.
You blushed and crossed your arms. God this was embarrassing. Crying in front of a... uh... nerd. It pained you to say it but it was true.
Am I feeling... guilty? You thought. For calling him a nerd?
Naoki was quiet. "I always knew you were trying to hide something. I knew you were like me. Pain beneath the face." He admitted.
You looked at him. "I'm sorry... for eveeything. I didn't mean to. The truth is before, I... I used to like you, when they bullied me. But after I... changed I thought you were a nerd. I know you are but that's still, mean and I-" You stumbled around your words and your blush grew and grew.
Naoki's eyes widened. "You liked me?" You nodded and looked down. Then you felt a pair of lips on yours. You blushed as you realized he was kissing you.
This nerd was kissing you.
And you kissed back. "I love you."
"I love you" you said smiling. A true genuine smile.
