Chapter 12: Carts

It's been about a day since Kyoshi Island. We were currently staying in a very green forest. A peaceful place, birds chirping and wind blowing. I however, was feeling everything but peace. My mind was a scramble. I was stressed, and worried about the war and about how we would defeat the fire lord. They were close to winning the war already, what could a couple of kids do about it.

I gazed upon Aang, splashing around in a stream of water, Katara who was gathering berries and Sokka who was still starstruck about having been kissed on the cheek by Suki.

We need a plan, we are not prepared. I hope Aang knows what he is doing.

"Okay guys! Huddle up!" Aang suddenly yelled running out of the water and over to me. I stood up and Katara and Sokka walked over.

"The next place we need to visit is the earth kingdom city of Omashu!" Aang said smiling.

I groaned internally, another place, just for fun. He needs to learn the elements, not this.

"What will we benefit from that?" Katara asked him. Finally, someone thinking about the future.

"Come on, it's on the way to the northern water tribe." Aang said pleading with Katara.

"What are we even gonna do there?" I asked him. He turned to me now.

"You'll see." He said with a big smile.

"Fine, if we make it quick then we make our way to the northern water tribe." I said. He nodded.

"I'll pack up Appa..." Sokka mumbled and walked over to the bags and picked them up.

"Off we go!" Aang yelled holding his arm up. He jumped up onto Appa and Sokka threw the bags up. Katara was already on the saddle, petting Momo. I climbed up.

"Yip Yip!" Aang yelled and Appa took off from the ground.

---Several Hours Later---

"How much longer is this gonna take?" Sokka asked.

"We're here!" Aang yelled.

"Really!" Sokka yelled poking his head up from the side of the saddle.

"Yeah! The Earth Kingdom Of Omashu!" Aang yelled to us as he started headed down towards the ground.

We landed soon on a small hill, each one of us jumped off and admired the view.

Down the hill was a brigde that led to Omashu, the entire city looked like it sat on top of a slope.

"The Earth Kingdom City of Omashu!" Aang yelled flinging his arms up.

"I used to always come here and visit my friend Bumi." Aang said again.

"Wow! We didn't have cities like this in the south pole..." Katara stated staring at it with awe.

 "They have buildings here that don't melt..." Sokka said to himself.

"Well let's go, slowpokes! The real fun is inside the city!" Aang yelled jumping of the cliff and landing gracefully on the ground.

"WAIT AANA!" I screamed. He turned around startled.

"You have to cover your arrows!" I yelled.

"We can't have people finding out you are the avatar." Katara said. Aang ran back up to us.

"What do you want me to do, grow hair in 2 minutes?" He said.

I turned around and walked over to Appa, I grabbed a handful of hair that had already fallen off and was just sitting there and gave it to Aang.
