With the defeat of the Covenant in Europe, Asia, South America, Africa, and Australia, all that was left was the garrisons in North America. The pelican entered the hangar of the Infinity as it docked, allowing the door to open for the occupants. Kelly wrapped Jason's left arm over her shoulder as she carried him to the medical bay. Riley held onto Josh's dogtags as he stood up and walked over to where Aaron was at. One of Aaron's ODST squad mates nudged his shoulder as he looked at the Spartan arriving.

"One of your old squad mates is coming." He said as Aaron turned and removed his helmet as he smiled at Theta's return. He jogged over and patted Riley's shoulder.

"What's up man?" He asked as Riley removed his helmet and looked at him as he held his hand out and opened his palm to show Josh's dogtags.

"I, uh, thought you should have these. You were his brother after all." Riley choked out as tears threatened to fall. Aaron's smile fell as he stared at the tags before closing Riley's hand and pushing them towards him.

"No, you keep'em." Aaron said as Riley looked at him. Aaron nodded as he pulled the Spartan into a hug.

"You did good by him, he rests peacefully now." Aaron said as the two broke the hug as Riley nodded. In the medical bay, Doomfist, Widowmaker, and Jason sat on the beds as UNSC doctors rushed back and forth to care for them. One doctor tried to care for Widowmaker before the woman spat at him and slapped the tool away before wincing at her injuries.

"Look, if you don't want help we can let you bleed to death." The doctor said. The assassin looked at Doomfist as the leader nodded. She turned and leaned into the bed as the doctors began to tend to the wounds. The doctors tending to Jason were able to removed what was left of his MARK-V/S armor as they began removing the body suit to tend to his wounds. Kelly remained by his side as the doctors healed him. One doctor turned to her as she led her out.

"Please, we need to focus Spartan. Go to the bridge and debrief the Captain." She said as Kelly nodded before the door shut. She turned and made her way to the bridge as she removed her helmet as she entered. The door opened to reveal Chief, Arbiter, and Lasky by the table. Chief turned as she saluted the three.

"Kelly, how is he?" Chief asked. "He's in somewhat bad shape, but he's okay for now." Kelly replied as she looked to the ground and frowned.

"Something else happened as well?" Arbiter asked. "We lost Staff Sergeant Joshua, sirs." Kelly replied. Chief lowered his head as Lasky gritted his teeth.

"His sacrifice will not be in vain." Arbiter said with a nod. "But something else, sirs." Kelly said as she walked over to the table and pressed a few buttons, hailing the Spirit of Hope.

"What is it Captain Lasky?" Charles asked. "Sir, this is Spartan Kelly, Spartan Josh is KIA." She intervened as Charles's eyes widened before softening as he frowned.

"But, with the death of Spartan Josh, we also discovered the true mastermind. An Elite named "Vadam Helm"." She said as the manifest appeared to show the black and blue armored individual. Lasky and Chief studied the manifest as Arbiter growled softly, gaining Kelly's attention.

"I take it you know him sir?" She asked as Arbiter nodded. "Aye, he is my crafty brother. But his true name is Helm 'Vadam." Arbiter said. Kelly, Chief, Charles, and Lasky had their attention on him as the Elite sighed.

"I should have known he would still side with the Covenant. But, he was always a smart fellow, it wouldn't surprise me if he was able to bring Brutes and Elites together after the Great Schism." Arbiter explained.
