The orders he had been given came to his mind, he and his brethren were to stop those who had defiled themselves with the flesh of man. They had taken human wives, if that is the term, for angels neither are given or taken in marriage. In some way though they had used the flesh of women to create their half angel hybrids, the Nephilim, the giants in the earth. No, not giants — though one of the side effects of the offspring was giantism — instead it really meant powerful ones. The children of the angels were mighty, powerful, gigantes. They had to be stopped. It was Satan’s attempt to redress the balance when he fell and took one third of the angels with him. The new race would redress the balance. The twenty four had been sent to stop the experiments on humans but they had fallen into a trap.
