By looking Jashnak in the eye Chelnuk let him know that he needed to tell him something, “You must return to your own land my king, my father was most insistent about it.”
Jashnak looked devastated, “I was willing to give my own life and the life of my men to aid you in your cause.”
“I know you were,” Chelnuk held his arm out for the king to grasp.
Jashnak pulled him in and slapped him on the back, “I hope your father knows what he is doing.” He turned his horse and signalled his men to start for home.
