Looking at the body of the giant Kendra then perceived the spiritual realm. A large angel was fighting with Puleyn and Danen, he was getting the upper hand. Kendra started to pray himself and, seeing him, so did Chelnuk and Nimen. Gradually more good angels appeared and drove the larger evil angel away.
Chelnuk enquired, "From your prayer it seemed as though Baragar's father were here."
"And so he was," replied Kendra, "I think we need to return to Bethel as soon as possible." Holding both Nimen and Chelnuk close to him he disappeared.
That day was spent in prayer at Bethel. Demons and the fallen attacked at intervals but the presence of good angels was too much for them.
"Will it be this hard each time we kill a giant?" asked Nimen.
"I will ask the commander of the angels," Kendra said as he concentrated to get into the spiritual realm.
The commander of the angels at the holy place was Rephel. He commanded 10,000 of the Lord's host. At Bethel there were now 100 of the host on guard.
"Greetings lord Rephel," said Kendra, "what say you about the attacks, will they get worse the more giants we kill?"
