"I told you to challenge him!" implored Disgast as he looked at his badly injured friend.
"Nimen, Loja, with me," ordered Chelnuk as he went back to the cave mouth and left Enoch to be tended by Chralane and Mendro. Before he quite got to the cave mouth a sheep's jawbone flew past his head. "Come Ragmath, fight me man to man."
From the belly of the cave a voice boomed, "Tell your archers to retreat to the hill then I will kill you."
This sent a chill through Chelnuk's bones, but he nodded to let his companions know that they should retreat to the hill.
"But..." began Nimen only to be stopped by Chelnuk wrinkling his forehead.
Now, as the others retreated, he thought of what he might do.
He lifted his sword imagining in his mind's eye how he would stop a bow to the head. This was fortunate because a broken pot, thrown by the giant, smashed onto it. "You have no honour Ragmath!" he cried.
"Neither do you, bringing archers to aid you."
He heard the sound of large footsteps then was confronted by the pelt clad 12 foot giant, club in hand.
