Within minutes their glory began to return, they all felt stronger, strong enough to concentrate at least. One by one the angels concentrated and disappeared back to the Source. The last to leave was Thalen. Seeing Gingel lurking near the doorway he asked, “Why us?”
“Because you trusted Hananel.” He moved back into the darkness.
Looking down to think for a second Thalen then concentrated and then disappeared back to the Source.
The seventh heaven. Home to the good angels. Home to Thalen. The source of all light, energy, power. On his immediate return he and the 24 were ushered into the presence of their new commander.
“Brothers,” greeted Bandel, “you have been compromised.”
All 24 looked down, most began to cry softly.
“It is your previous commander who was to blame, Hananel. He was seduced by darkness and is now in the first heaven.” Looking at Thalen he knew, “You spoke to Gingel.”
“Yes my lord, he said we were chosen for the deception because we trusted Hananel.”
“It is a rue day.” He surveyed them all, “Because you were innocent you will not be charged with this matter. However this has created an anomaly, the offspring created from your flesh cannot be judged the way other Nephilim can and so other contingencies must be made for their storage.”
As it dawned on Thalen he spoke falteringly, “My child will be stored?”
Your offspring, from all of you, will be stored on the Rock.”
The rock was what would eventually be called the Bosom of Abraham.
