“I know what you are trying to do you cunning wretch, you are trying to draw me to the rock.”
Rolling on the floor Kendra cut at the giant’s legs. Too late for this unexpected move the giant rammed his sword into the ground. Falling on to one knee he thrashed around with his blade trying to keep Kendra at a distance.
Letting out a blood curdling scream Baran’s champion threw himself into the air and landed on the giant. They both tumbled to the ground but Kendra was on top and held his sword to the giant’s neck. “Yield!” he called.
The giant leader still tried to hit his foe and force him away, so Kendra thrust his blade into the giant’s chest. At this the other giants wailed and began to run towards Kendra.
He wasted no time but concentrated and appeared back in the cave at the base of the rock. Nimen fired two arrows from his vantage point and managed to bring a giant to his knees. Shebu was tethered to one side of the cave mouth and stamped in impatience wanting to help her master.
Enoch caught one in the knee then another on the side of the head. The older of the two, Disgast, threw a dagger at another and caught him under the ribs.
