Damon:

As soon as the shock wave had dissipated I'd immediately packed the boys up and made them follow me back home. What I hadn't been expecting was for the girls to be missing. After looking for them myself and coming up empty I decided to search out Lily's personal maid.

Instead of going back to headquarters I figured I'd stay at home and wait for Lily to bring Helena back. At the moment I really didn't want to watch the child by myself, especially with the other two already here. In the morning, Taki, my personal servant, came in to awaken me.

Taki had worked as an assassin for my organization for a long time but I'd stopped sending him out when he began having to much blood lust. My reasoning for having him become my butler was that it would ease down the more homicidal tendencies racing through his head if he had to work with something other than a knife and dead bodies.

One other thing about Taki. He was part Demon. Which would help with the recent development.

"Do you know what that magic was yesterday?"

Taki looked up from buttoning up my stomach band before answering, "Something ancient has awakened. From what I could gather it is in a sort of 'limbo', not completely awake but no longer sleeping."

I frowned at this new knowledge. Whatever it was had been extremely strong magically. There was no way I'd be capable of taking on that kind of power with where I'm at currently.

Thankfully whatever it was is still not completely awake so there isn't a need to concern myself currently.

"Maybe you should begin training once again," I suggested.

Taki glanced back at me from where he was remaking my bed and seemed to think about what I said. His eyes flashed a glowing purple a brief second before dulling down again.

"Very well. It may be helpful to train alongside the two boys."

I gave a nod in consent, especially since I hadn't ever personally trained more than one person before. If Taki gave me a hand with the training then it would go a lot more smoothly.

Lily:

Helena seemed as though she hadn't any concerns when I picked her up from Connie's. Connie on the other hand seemed worried. Her lip looked chewed raw from her constant nibbling with anxiety. I'd had to reassure her that she needn't worry.

It had surprised me when I found out that the magic I had felt yesterday seemed to have scared her. Apparently a lot of the people within the Nest seemed to have differing reactions to it. I had to wonder why though.

"Mommy, why are you frowning," Helena asked while swinging my hand with her own. I smiled down at her exuberance.

She was skipping next to me and, although seemed concerned, continued smiling.

"I'm just worried about a few things but there's no reason for you to be concerned about them."

"Do you think Daddy and the boys are back home?"

Her way with switching subjects nearly knocked me over. I couldn't help but chuckle.

"I'm unsure sweetie. They may have come back last night though," I thoughtfully responded. It was a very high possibility though with that big of a magical output. I'm sure that Damon would pop over to make sure we were alright.

Helena hummed thoughtfully but her happiness seemed to raise a couple notches when she heard me give a slight affirmative. For some reason she was really attached to Damon. I wasn't faulting him that my daughter liked him more than me though. It was really unfair though.

When I thought about it I couldn't help but mentally pout.

Surprisingly Chao seemed content to rest within my Soul Space during the entire walk back home. I knew they were special so I didn't want others to know about them until I was stronger. If what Chao said about being a Minor God is true, then I'd have the Twelves knocking on my front door upon hearing about the little creature. I'd not stand a chance.

Nathaniel:

Damon had brought Vincent and I back to the house after what happened yesterday. It was boring though without Lily here. Vincent was terrible company. I didn't know whether to choose Helena or Vincent as the worst companion though. Although Vincent was boring at least he didn't feel it his duty to bombard me with incessant chatter. Only thing that bothered me with Vincent was how he didn't take social ques very well.

"Do you want to go train our martial arts," I asked the boy who was currently playing a game of chess by himself.

He glanced up from setting down a black knight after taking one of the white pawns. His eyes seemed almost void of any hint of life sometimes, almost as though he were on auto.

I watched and waited for a response but he merely blinked a few times at me before slightly tilting his head. My hand came up to cover my face in frustration before I even thought about it. Why was I stuck with someone like this? He saved me from that hell hole so I was forever indebted to him but that didn't mean he didn't frustrate me to no end.

"I'm going to go practice some martial arts and wondered if you'd like to join me. You know, instead of you staying by yourself and playing that game alone," I pointed towards the game of chess he was currently sitting beside of.

Vincent:

What was he asking me? I've not begun training in martial arts so why would I do so now with him? Wouldn't he just beat me and therefore the entire exercise would be redundant? Was Nathaniel not all together right in the head? It was quite the possibility, what with everything he went through back at the manor.

His eyes are looking at me in a strange way. Maybe I should respond back to him though and give him an accurate answer. Surely he knows that I won't be able to practice with him since I've been only reading books in order to gain more skills. He was training in the physical aspect where as I was training mentally. Obviously he will understand my reasoning.

"No."

Nathaniel's face made a weird action before he let out a loud breathing sound.

"Whatever. Stay here then."

He left me alone. I turned back to the game in front of me with calculating eyes.

A/N: Sorry it has taken so long to write a new chapter. I've been rather busy as of late. Oh and sorry to my readers that are upset about the lack of 'sex'. It's just not the time. lol
