Oh My Gary!

Chapter 17

Just when Haha and Byul are coming back from the dance floor, they seem to have to most fun tonight. After their announcement, they are having more skinships openly without any burden. Gary takes a look at his watch and speaks,

Gary: The time is getting late, we can call this a night already!

Byul: Already? 0.0 But I still don't get enough of it.(complaining)

Haha: Can we stay for a little bit more...(begging)

Gary: Then you guys stay behind but I'm leaving, I need to go on court tomorrow (getting up) Jihyo ah, do you want to leave also that I can give you a ride? (to Jihyo)

Jihyo: Is that ok?

Byul: Unnie, you are leaving too? 

Jihyo: Keudae, I also have early shift tomorrow!!! 

KwangSoo: Can you (asking Gary cuz he still doesn't call Gary "hyung") also give me a ride home?

Byul: Yah, KwangSoo ah?

KwangSoo: I have schedule at 4am tomorrow!!! Mianhe! (coldly)

Gary: Ok, then you two have fun.

Haha: Oh~~~ be careful on the road. (sadly)

Byul: Annyeong unnie!!! 

The three are leaving the club together, when suddenly KwangSoo bumped into some girl and she accidentially dropped her bracelet, KwangSoo is kind enough to return it to her.

KwangSoo: Noona, you can leave without me. I have to return this to that girl. (quickly chases after that girl)

Jihyo: Yah, yah...KwangSoo ah~

Gary: What is with KwangSoo, he changed his mind? (walks up from behind)

Jihyo: I..think so... (then they continue walking toward the exit)

Near the front exit there are some drunk guys standing there, teasing every lady walking by them by saying some sexual things. Jihyo immediately pause and worrying if she should stay back with Haha and Byul till those drunk guys go away. Gary in the back slowly walks up to Jihyo and asking if anything happened. Jihyo tells Gary about those guys and she scared that those guys won't let her go out easily. Seeing how frightened Jihyo is, Gary quickly grabs on Jihyo's hand and walk toward the exit. Those drunk guys do tease Jihyo as she walks pass then Gary pulles her closer to him. Jihyo's heart feels like flying out of her chest because of his sudden skinship. This time, the unpredicted rain pours hard on the streets as they are outside of the club, Gary is still holding on to Jihyo's hand. Gary finally turned around to takes a look at Jihyo,

Gary: Oh! Are you feeling okay, why your face redden? 

Jihyo: Ah...(looking away)

Gary: You still feel scared about those drunk men, don't worry, we are outside now that they not dare to do anything!

Jihyo: Ani,....igeo.....(like she's talking about the hug)

Gary: A...ah..(breaks the hug)..sorry for the hug!!!

Jihyo: Ani, you just wanted to protect me!!!

There is a silent between them for minutes until Gary breaks the akwardness,

Gary: What a long rain tonight, it didn't seem like a rainy day when we got here right?

Jihyo: Uhm~!!!

Gary: Oh, a taxi is coming, palli come here!!!

Gary then holds up his jacket as a temporary umbrella for both of them, then they fasten their steps to the edge of the sidewalk.

Gary: You should go home and get some rest that you have to work early tomorrow.

Jihyo: Then what about you? We can take the taxi together?

Gary: (grinned) I can take the next one. Palli ka, this is a no parking area!!! (pushing Jihyo into the cab)

Jihyo: Ok, goodnight.

Gary: Goodnight.

Jihyo's leaving with the cab in front of Gary, the taxi just rolled away for few meters that Jihyo turned around to takes a look at Gary and he's still standing there, waving at her with a smile on his face. Jihyo waves back at him before she turned back to the front. During the whole trip home, Jihyo's smilling brightly to herself that the driver keep checking on her through the rear mirror. The next morning, while Jihyo's still sleeping soundly in bed that her phone suddenly rings. Her hand tiredly crawls out of the blanket to grab the phone and she just randomly picks up the call without actually looking at who is calling. She answers the phone in her mumbling voice,

Jihyo: Yeoboseyo~

JongKook: Wake up sleephead, I'm coming over to pick you up!

Jihyo: Eh~ (slowly crawls up)

JongKook: I'm only few minutes away from your house, palli wake up and get ready!

Jihyo: Oppa, why so sudden in the morning?

JongKook: I will start picking you up from today, I'm almost here, you better hurry. (hanged up)

Jihyo: Yeoboseyo, yeoboseyo, oppa....Aish~~~ this Kim JongKook! (hurriedly jumps out of bed)

This moment, JongKook arrived in front of Jihyo's home. He rings the doorbell and SukJin is the one who answering the door.

JongKook: Annyeonghaseyo, Mr. Ji! (formally bows to SukJin)

SukJin: Oh, is this JongKook? Come in, come in. Yah~ it've been awhile since our last met. 

JongKook: Ne, I'm getting busy lately.
