RM - Back to School

"Hey ______, sit next to me!", he ushers you to come and sit next to him. You tighten your backpack strap, feeling nervous. As you're taking a deep breath, your feet making their way near to Namjoon's place. He has a wide smile on his face and it's hard to not smile back to him. You plop yourself next to him and open your bag to get your small notes and pencil case on your desk but you found a small chocolate place in front of you.

You turn to your left and Namjoon's face is already looking at yours. "It's yours", he said while munching on chocolates in his mouth."Thank you Namjoon". "The pleasure's all mine!", he beams cheerfully.

Kim Namjoon. He is known for his smart (and sexy) brain, plus he has a good-looking feature and is well respected by teachers and students. He has this aura that can make people feel comfortable around him and he's an easygoing person.

But, why he's being very friendly to you? Because both of you has been classmates for some several years already. That's why he's very comfortable when he's with you but it's not like you're best friend with him. Sure both of you used to text each other but you're talking about school kinds of stuff only. Just school buddies.

And throughout the times, you have a massive crush on him. Too bad he doesn't know that but it's better that way because you don't want some students (that are crushing on him) to bully you.

"Um ______, you wanna have lunch with me later? Jin said he has something to do later with Mr. Song about the soccer team. But if you don't want the-". "Yes, I would love that Namjoon", you said before he finishes talking. You're afraid that you're sounding so eager, instead, he has a grin that's showing his (very cute) dimple. "Okay.. Cool". You try to hide that you're shy but it's hard because your cheeks and ears are already red.

A lot of students have their eyes on you and Namjoon's table. Feeling a bit uncomfortable because you're not the type to get this much attention. Namjoon just kept on eating his foods without knowing that you're barely eating yours. When he takes a sip of his orange juice, he takes a glimpse at you and a confused expression on his face.

"You're not eating ______. Why?", he asks, not bothering with the stares that he's getting. "I'm feeling a bit ill, that's all", you smile, assuring him that you're fine. He rests his head on his left hand and looks at you.

"Sorry to ask you this but, do you want to walk with me after school? Jin said he's going to fetch his nephew later and I got no one to walk with..". You look at his expression and you have this weird feeling creeping up behind your back, making your hunch back straight. You nod silently and Namjoon smiles at your response. He nods his head, motioning you to eat. "Eat ______. Watching you eat makes me feel calm for some reason".

You feel like your heart going to burst in a second. You grab a knife and stick it to your untouched brownies and put it in your mouth. Namjoon watches you eat while drinking his carton orange juice and a smile never left from his lips.

School already finish and now both of you walking together side by side, ignoring some stares that are given from other students. You try your best to not get scared by the glares that have been striking to you by some of his fangirls. I'm sure I'll get in trouble in the near future, you thought to yourself. Namjoon was busy playing some music on his iPod and he knew that you feel uncomfortable, he lends you his earpiece so that both of you can listen to it together.

"Here, you might want to get off of your mind from them". You look at him and accept his offer, putting it on your left ear and listen to what in Namjoon's iPod.

Both of you began to blush by the lyrics that are on his iPod. He then pulls out his iPod and tries to change the song but you stop him. "It's a good song. Don't change it". He looks at you and he has a red tinted color on his cheeks. "Sure if you insist..".

After a few minutes, you both said thank you at the same time and laugh. "You first", said Namjoon. You chuckle and take a breath. "Thank you for today Namjoon. You're very kind to me and I like hanging out with you.. (despite all the stares that were given to me)". he shakes his head while smiling.

"I should be the one to thank you for today. I know that you're feeling a bit uncomfortable but you still hang out with me. I really appreciate that..". He knew that you're having a hard time dealing with some of his fangirls but you handle it well. Both of your hand accidentally brushes each other and you felt something gurgling inside your stomach. Is this what they call butterflies in their stomach, you thought.

Namjoon suddenly holds your hand, taking you by surprise. You look at your surroundings, fear that some student will be aware of what you're doing with him. Attempting to let go of his hand, he tightens the grip on your hand, assuring you that it's okay.

"______.. To be honest.. I have feelings towards you for the past few years of us being classmates.. I want you to know that because I have been hiding these for a very long time and I wanted us to be more than friends. I know, being around me is difficult but they just have to accept the reality and support us together.. I really like you ______.. I really do..".

You're moved by his words and was speechless. A nobody like you was confessed by the infamous student in your school and has feelings for you. You take a deep breath and stare at him, you can see that his face is very tense and was nervous. "I like you too Namjoon..", you said and you cover your face with your other hand. Namjoon was stunned and taken aback by your confession.

With that simple confession, both of you became a couple and Namjoon was the happiest guy in the world when he thought that a long-term crush likes him back.     

While Jin, who's walking not too far behind you, wearing a cap as a disguise has witness Namjoon's confession towards you and is very happy while walking with his nephew, Jimin, who's busy playing games on his phone.
