Chapter 14 - Changing Season

Since the day Rei gave me extra beef stew...

I feel like the distance between us is getting smaller each day.

One day as i walking back from work. I happen to come across Miyoko and Reimako who look like they're heading out.

"What a coincidence, Mina." greeted Reimako

"Hi, you guys heading out?"

Then...

Our eyes met each other.

And it kinda reminds me the day we first stared at each other, when she gave me too much beef stew as a reward.

I don't think Reimako met my gaze many times since that day.

(She's making me feel kinda nervous...)

"Mina..?" wondered Miyoko.

"Oh!"

Miyoko calls me out and brings me back to reality.

"What's wrong? You were zoning out?" she asked.

"O-Oh, no...It's nothing."

"Really," she said as she looks at me suspiciously

"By the way, are you two going out somewhere?"

"Yeah! We were just gonna head to the department store..." she replied.

"Seeing as you're here, why don't you come along?" she continued.

"Huh?Now?"

"No, tomorrow, i'm asking you today right?" she sarcastically jest.

"Yeah, okay...I don't have anything planned."

"Are you sure, Mina? You just got back from work, aren't you tired?" Reimako worriedly said,

"Oh no, don't worry i'm fine." (she's so sweet being considerate like this.)

"All right we got us, a bag carrier." Miyoko jokingly said.

(I knew it...)

"Ahahaha, don't give me that look, i'm joking, i'm joking not really." she teased.

"You see, Mina is such a gentleman, right Rei?"

"Y-yeah, but were going to buy..."

For some reasong, Rei seems to have a startled worried more like embarrassed look on her face.

It seems like she doesn't want me to come with them.

(She looks really embarrassed? And she's blushing, too...)

She seems to think for a moment as she's about to say something.

"B-But..." she muttered.

"If it's Mina, then i suppose i don't mind if he's coming." she blushingly said.

She gives me a little smile even though she's embarrassed.

(What does she mean by that?)

"All right! Let's go!" Miyoko said cheerfully.

"O-ok..." Rei timidly replies.

I still don't understand, but either way, it seems that she's okay with me coming along.

(I wonder what are they going to buy, anyway...)

So, we arrive at the department store.

Miyoko and Rei are looking around the shops, and seems to be enjoying themselves.

(They're just doing regular shopping, right?)
