Chapter 40 - Time for Sweets

"Can I have some time alone together with you?" Rei whispered

My heart almost jump out my mouth when I hear her sweet shy voice.

(A-Alone with me?!)

Hey sudden request surprised me, but....

(Uh...we may not be in the same phase here, get your head out of the gutter Mina.)

"Of course Rei no need to be so formal about it,"

"Thank you."

We slip away from the cooking classroom without the girls noticing and come across a small garden.

"I'm sorry to drag you away so suddenly."

"Don't be! It's my pleasure, but why here?"

"Is something the matter?" I asked innocently.

"Well the truth is..."

She bashfully holds out a small parcel to me.

"I wanted to give you this."

"What is it?"

"The pancake I made just for you."

"Oh...OH!"

(An especial pancake? And just for me?!)

"Well, I made it while I was teaching the children..."

"You, did?!" (I didn't even notice...)

"It's my way of saying thank you for helping me today, Please accept it..."

"Why yes of course! Why wouldn't I accept this? It's a especial pancake you made just for me!" I said with a joyous tone.

Saying that I quickly accept the package from her.

I open it up to find a pancake glazed with marshmallow and honey.

"It looks really good! Do you mind if I eat it now?"

"Please do."

"Time to eat!"

I took a huge slice and put it in my ears...lol where else to you think I'll put this fork full of pancake? My ass? Sorry....

"W-Well...what do you think?"

"D-do you like it?" she asked shyly.

"It's so good!!!"

It's different from any pancake I tasted the soft and chewy texture that slid easily in every bite the honey perfectly highlight the light sweetness of the pancake and the marshmallow added a bit kick to it.

"It's really, really good Rei!"

"You mean it? You're not just saying it because I'm your girlfriend right?"

"Of course not Rei, you should have a bite as well this taste heavenly."

"I see, I'm so glad you like it." She smiled in relief.

"This is honestly the best pancake I've ever had in my entire life!"

"This can easily contest to any fancy patsies out there in the market."

"Geez, Mina you're exaggerating."

"Ehehehehe." She giggled.

(I wouldn't mind If I'd have a diabetes in a pancake this awesome and a sweet giggle like that.)

The sweetness on my tongue and her sweet smile in from of me touches my very heart.

I gleefully stuff my face with some more pancake.

"I mean it Rei, this is the best pancake ever!"

"Alright, alright I believe you, ehehehe."

"Ah, Mina."

"Hmn?"

Rei seem to have notice something while looking at my face.

"Ahaha, you have some honey on your cheek."

"What? Where?"

I pat my hand around my face.

"Geez, let me..."

"Huh?"

*Lick*

"Th-there, Got it."

"T-thank you..."

(S-she just licked my face...dammit awkward boner.)

Licking her lips, she suddenly overcome with embarrassment.

(Damn that's so hot, I mean crap Yomiko might be right I'm really a freaking pervert.)

"I-uh, I'm sorry..."

"Did I upset you?"

"Huh?! No!" (You made some part of me hard thought I mean angry.)

"Ehehehehe." She smiled mischievously.

"A-ahahaha..."

Rei has definitely become bolder around me recently.

(She's so cute when she does things like that...not to mention hot.)

I am on cloud nine, when...

"Hey!!!"

Yomiko flies out into the garden.

"Rei! I saw that."

"You're doting on that pervert way too much!"

(Was she watching us the whole time? She should really get a hobby or a boyfriend.)

I look around with a feeling of dread in my stomach.

"Darn it Yuu, We were all doing a good job hiding too, but you have to jump out." Said Raika grinning.

The girls from the Famille' slowly make their way out of the shadows.

"Ahahaha, Sorry to interrupt you two." She continued.

"Yomiko just couldn't control herself." Said Ms.Mikahara while brushing some leaves that covered her long sleeve shirt.

"O-only because that pervert have a perverted smile on her face!"

"I do not!" (do i?)

Rei's face reddens as do the faces of all the other girls as they remember that account.

"I-I must say that surprised me as well..." said Kasumi.

(surprised her why? By looking at my perverted face, wait did I just admit I have a perverted face?)

"Rei is a lot bolder than she was at the beginning." Fallowed by Miyoko who's blushing a bit.

(Why are blushing?!)

"Hehehehe, well, that's good isn't it?" supported Ms.Mikahara.

"It's just show how much she loves, Mina."

Rei has gotten to the point of overheating and loses her ability to function.

And so the cooking class adventure has come to a tumultuous end...

And even so...

I find myself thinking back on how Reimako had looked over the course of the day.

(She really seemed to enjoy teaching the children, she smiled a lot and looked really happy.)
