JUNG HOSEOK WAS bored out of his mind. it was nine in the evening, and he had been stuck in the little pawn shop for the past four hours without a single customer. of course, he had ways of having fun in the little shop; there were over a hundred books in there, alongside weird antiques and other strange things, and the speaker system could easily be hooked up to his phone, prompting him to play some nice acoustic music as he re-read will grayson, will grayson.

as much as hoseok loved his job, he was about ready to go home. his boss had fucked off for the last couple hours - claiming he had some important business or some shit - leaving hoseok alone and bored shitless. kicking his feet against the legs of the chair he was sat on, hoseok yawned and pulled up the hood of his hoodie, placing down the book.

"i hate life," he sighed to himself, not really meaning it all that much. he hummed along to the seventeen song playing from his phone, considering whether he should just say 'fuck it' and close up. but jackson would have his head, so he discarded the thought, bunching his hands in the long sleeves of the dark green hoodie, red hair messy on his head. "do we even get customers?" he asked himself, biting on his lips.

it was saturday, and business was always slow on saturdays, so hoseok didn't know why he even bothered to come into work. he considered time and time again to close up and go back to his small apartment and his small fluffy dog, but he couldn't. so with a heavy sigh, he picked the book back up from the counter and continued to read, eyes focused on the words and brain barely focused on the storyline.

it was another half-hour before the bell above the shop door rang, prompting hoseok to look up from the pages and see who he'd be serving. the people who regularly showed up were either hipsters searching for bullshit 'artisan' or 'ethnic' items, old people trying to find jewelry, or the occasional semi-normal person looking for cheap clothing. but this was different.

the black ink on his milky skin was the first thing hoseok noticed. the shirt the customer wore - short-sleeved, in a pale grey colour, with a some random thing emblazoned across the chest - allowed hoseok to see the countless words inked into his skin, the carefully divided rectangular sections full of words that he'd imprinted into his skin. then hoseok noticed his hair, which was startling, electric blue, with a hair clip securing it out of his face. oh, and his face.

hoseok didn't find random people beautiful all that often - sure, actors and celebrities, the occasional tumblr ulzzang, but not random people - but this tattooed, pierced man was different. there was a glittering diamond stud in his nose, silver snake bites in his bottom lip, a black eyebrow piercing and a silver septum ring. but, aside from his piercings, hoseok found his face practically endearing; his skin was almost glowing, a light white colour, with a teardrop tattooed on his cheek, and his eyes were slanted, feline-esque. his lips were particularly interesting, in rose petal pink and covered in a glittering gloss that had hoseok's heart racing.

"hello," hoseok said, his voice slightly hoarse from not speaking a lot. the electric boy glanced at him, a playful smirk on his lip. "anything i can help you with?"

the blueberry haired boy considered it, his tongue running over his bottom lip to moisten it. "i..." his voice was raspy, like he smoked. "i'm gonna be perfectly honest, i'm just in here because it looked... cosy," he scratched at his tattooed arm. "can i hang out in here? for a while?"
