The following day.
Y/N hadn't slept well the night before after Jisoo informed her she was selling the business, she knew there was nothing she could do about it but that didn't stop her from feeling bad for Jisoo. She knew how much the place meant to her friend, how proud she had been when it first opened.
She arrived at work around eight feeling tired and irritable, Jisoo had made her some jasmine tea which was her favourite. Y/N knew she was doing it to calm her down as Mr Kim along with his associate would be arriving soon and Y/N was worried that everything would change.
She was cleaning the kitchen, stocking milk inside the large refrigerator when the bell chimed above the front entrance.....they were here.
"Hello. I'm Jisoo, Kim Jisoo. "
"Pleasure, I'm Kim Seokjin."
"Ah, so you're the one I spoke with over the phone?"
"That would be correct, it was on behalf of my friend Mr Kim Taehyung."
Y/N was standing by the kitchen door, close enough to eavesdrop but not close enough to be spotted. She cocked a brow at the name, knowing exactly who Kim Taehyung was. Why would a young guy like him be interested in this place?
"Hello, nice to meet you."
Kim Taehyung spoke, his voice was deep and husky but she refused to let it draw her in.
"Likewise." Jisoo responded.
"So, I've got the paperwork with me. If you like we can sit down and discuss the terms and conditions?"
Y/N heard Seokjin say shortly after introductions were out of the way, he seemed polite but of course that wasn't a surprise as he wanted Jisoo to sign her business away to his friend and Y/N was sure his facade would soon drop once the deal was done.
That's what all men like him did.
Y/N stayed in the kitchen, doing as Jisoo had asked as they went over the contract and answered whatever questions she had. She wasn't sure how much time had passed, she remembers hearing Jisoo make them coffee at some point and then laugh at a terrible joke Seokjin had told. Taehyung on occasion would speak, he seemed polite like his friend but only because he needed Jisoo to sign the contract, Y/N could feel her anger build.
"Well, you've both answered my questions. I'm happy with the deal, so long as I keep my position as manager and my current staff keep their jobs."
Jisoo paused, Y/N knew how difficult this was for her.
"I'll sign it."
She finally finished her sentence and Y/N felt her heart ache, she knew how much Jisoo was struggling with this decision and wished there was something she could do to help.
