Chapter Seventeen ~ First Date (2/6)

Taehyung.

"So....how do I look?" Taehyung steps inside Jimin's room, not even bothering to knock.

"You've never asked me about your outfit before, nervous?" He tilts his head and chuckles.

"Aish hush, just tell me if this looks okay....or should I change?"

"You look good, don't worry so much."

Taehyung smiles at his reply.

He wasn't sure what was making him so nervous, maybe it was because this was his first proper date.

Taehyung never really dated, he just met women at the club and nine times out of ten they went home with him.

Y/N was the first woman he actually found himself wanting to date, that terrified him yet intrigued him at the same time.

"So, will you be bringing Y/N back here tonight?" Jimin gave him a look, the 'you going to get lucky tonight look'

Taehyung laughed and shook his head, he wasn't going to be like that with Y/N....she was different and he certainly felt different about her so he wanted to do everything right. He didn't want to rush anything or make her feel uncomfortable, she deserved the best.

"No, it's not going to be like that. I'm just taking her out, we're going to spend time together and do this right." He smiled, adjusting the fabric around his neck and didn't miss the way Jimin cocked a brow as he studied him.

"What?" He asks him with a chuckle escaping his lips.

"Be careful Tae, I can see you really like this girl but don't forget what your mother said last time she was here."

Taehyung stills at his words, that's the last thing he wanted to think about tonight.

"My mother can't force me to marry someone, this is my life and I refuse to let her control it."

Jimin sighs, running his fingers back through his hair.

"You know how convincing your mother can be, she always gets her own way eventually. I'm just saying, maybe you should be honest with Y/N....tell her that you're already kind of engaged."

Taehyung narrows his eyes, scoffing at the words.

"I'm not engaged, my mother likes to think she's got my future all planned out for me but that's not happening."

"I know you don't want what your mother does but still....just be honest with Y/N so if the two of you end up really falling for each other it won't come as so much of a shock when you're like....hey babe, sorry to tell you this but my crazy mother plans on getting me married to a woman I've never even met before."

Taehyung knows he's right, he knows Y/N has the right to know but that wasn't going to happen tonight.

He wanted this to be the perfect first date, so bringing up the fact his mother plans on marrying him off to some woman he's never met before isn't exactly the best way to go about it.

He would tell Y/N eventually but not yet, besides there's no way it's going to happen. He refuses to marry someone he doesn't care for, no matter what his mother says or threatens him with.

"I'm not thinking about that tonight, I just want to make sure Y/N has a good time." He smiles, pushing all thoughts of his mother and the marriage aside.

"You taking her to the usual place?" Jimin questions, the usual place he was referring to was no doubt the bar.

"No, I'm taking her to that new restaurant....the one we got invited to last week."

"Ah, the nice Italian place that we went to the opening of?"

"Yeah, that's the one." He smiles as Jimin gives a nod.

"Well, you must really like her. I've never seen you go all out for a woman before, don't blame you though....she's cute."

Taehyung cocks a brow, turning to face Jimin as he flashes him a cheeky smile.

"Stay away from her, she's too pure for someone like you." He chuckles as Jimin pouts.

"I don't know what you're talking about, I'm totally innocent."

"Ha! Jimin...you and innocent don't mix."

Taehyung laughs, shaking his head as he takes one final look in the mirror.

Okay.....he can do this.

He can make the night perfect for Y/N

She deserves it.
