Tae's laughter was like ripples in a still pond once a stone has been cast, it radiated outwards through the busy Starbucks.
Y/N shakes her head, nose still scrunched up in distaste.
"Yah! Kim Taehyung it's not funny!"
He attempts to calm himself down, taking a deep breath before chuckling again.
"I'm sorry Y/N, it's just your face."
"I hate this stuff, you know I do."
She really does hate green tea but it's fantastic for your skin, super good for you and so she deals with the taste to see the benefits.
"Then don't drink it, just get yourself a decent face cream instead."
Tae finally stops laughing, she can hear him lean across the table and knows exactly what he's doing, taking her bacon from the bagel she ordered.
It's a best friend thing, when you know each other so well that you start to order things you know the other likes. Y/N doesn't mind bacon but can live without it, she only likes cheese on her bagel but orders it with bacon because she knows Tae likes double on his.
"I'm cutting it for you." She shakes her head, a fond smile tugging at her lips as he informs her on what he's doing, she hears him pick up his cutlery and cut the bagel in half.
"I can do it myself you know." She chuckles.
"I know, stop getting sassy and just say thanks."
"Thanks."
She replies immediately and he pauses for a moment before continuing.
"Wow, that was easy. No witty remark? No sarcasm? What's wrong with you?" Taehyung takes a bite of his bagel.
"Maybe I'm just feeling calm and relaxed today, is there a problem with that?" She feels a smirk tugging at her lips as he chuckles.
"No, definitely not a problem. Weird but then again nothing about you is normal, guess that's why we're friends."
She laughs, about to say that herself but he beat her to it.
"Well, it takes weird to know weird."
"Exactly."
They both laugh.

They chat about the usual stuff, how the club is doing and how the café is really making progress. Y/N tells him about Miles staying with her for a month as he waits for the new house to be ready, he offers his help moving Miles' stuff. Tae tells her about his dad calling, apparently he's coming back to see the club in Seoul for the first time and Tae's nervous as he really wants his dad to be proud of him. Y/N tries her best to keep him calm, offer her help if he needs it.
It's about twenty minutes later when Tae escorts her out to his car and they make their way to the café.
"Oh, by the way. There's a charity event I'm holding at the club, figured it would do my reputation some good. I want to give you, Miles and Cyrus an invite if that's okay?"
Y/N cocks a brow, surprised he hadn't told her about this before.
"Oh, since when?"
"Well, it wasn't my idea to begin with. Jin thought it would be a good thing to do, he said it would give the club some exposure and also look good to the press. Yesterday we decided on the date, that's why I'm only telling you now."
She gives a nod
"What charity?"
The car stops, most likely hitting traffic.
"It's for cancer research."
She smiles, glad to see Taehyung doing something for a special cause.
"I'm proud of you, it's a really good thing you're doing Tae."
"Thanks." She knows he's smiling, she can tell from his tone.
"I'll definitely be there, Miles and Cyrus can be my dates for the evening."
"I'm taking Sasha, she kept insisting at the club last night."

Y/N doesn't know why but that hurt, she's well aware of who Sasha is after having met her once or twice at the club, according to Miles she was 'Trashy Hot' whatever that's supposed to mean.

Taehyung didn't even have a date for the charity event, he just wanted to see her reaction to his confession.
Y/N was a difficult person to read, just what did she feel for him?

Her head was lowered so infuriatingly he couldn't make out her expression.
"Sasha is beautiful according to Miles, I'm glad you've got a date."

Men like Taehyung don't come along too often, maybe if she had legs up to her neck and perfect hair he'd forget about women like Sasha. Let's face it, on a generous assessment she's ordinary. She'll never compete with a girl who takes her life direction from fashion magazines, starves herself and is more self absorbed than a tadpole's tail.
