Six Months Later.
Jungkook.
"Hold up, let me get this straight. Kim Taehyung.... 'The Playboy' has been friends with a beautiful woman for six months and hasn't even tried to seduce her?"
Jungkook chuckled at his friend Kai and gave a nod, he seemed stunned yet intrigued by the gossip.
"How? Why? What's so special about this woman?" Kai replied with a raised brow, slender fingers curled around his iced tea.
Jungkook was thoroughly amused by his reaction
"Y/N doesn't treat him like other women do, she's not interested in getting to know him because he's rich or handsome. I think that automatically intrigued Tae, she challenges him and doesn't back down because of who he is."
Jungkook added sugar to his coffee and stirred, his dark eyes watching Kai as he allowed the information to sink in.
"So, he purchased the café just to get close to this woman?"
Jungkook nodded.
"Yeah, I think he just needed an excuse to see her whenever he wanted, owning the place she works at seemed like the most logical plan to him."
Kai laughed
"Yeah, he's always been reckless with his money."
Jungkook nodded in agreement
"You know Tae, he's got more than enough money and the café wasn't that much. To Kim Taehyung it was simply pocket change but I'll give him credit where it's due, the place is doing really well. They gave it a total do over, it's actually really nice."
Kai took a sip of his drink before asking his next question
"Does he spend much time there?"
Jungkook smirked
"He's there all the time, at first he used the excuse that he needs to be there to protect his investment but we could see right through his bullshit. It's because he enjoys spending time with Y/N, don't blame him though as she's a nice girl. Stubborn and argumentative but that's why she's so refreshing, I mean all of us were sceptical at first about getting to know her."
Jungkook paused before taking a large mouthful of his coffee; allowing it to rest on his tongue so he could appreciate the taste before swallowing.
"Then she soon became a friend to all of us." He finished, looking across at Kai.
"Well, I definitely look forward to meeting this girl you all seem to care so much about."
Jungkook cocked a brow
"She's off limits, Tae made that very clear to us when we first met her."
Kai laughed and shook his head
"I wasn't planning on seducing the poor girl, I draw the line at breaking the heart of a blind girl."
Jungkook scrunched his face up
"Kai....don't talk like that. Y/N's condition doesn't make her a special case, she's still a woman who deserves to be treated as such." His tone was laced with annoyance, the words his friend spoke irking him slightly.
"Wow, this girl really has all of you whipped huh?" Kai chuckled before continuing. "I'm sorry, didn't mean to upset you."
Jungkook shook his head, a smile finally forming as he playfully smacked Kai's forearm.
"It's fine, just so long as you know."
Taehyung.
Six months, six extremely long months of having this crazy woman as his friend.
Y/N was stubborn, frustrating, always had an answer for everything and would never back down.
Taehyung sometimes questioned why on earth he tried so hard to become friends with her at first as she didn't make it easy for him, the first few weeks of him taking over the café were an absolute nightmare.
Y/N was always there, questioning every little damn detail. If she didn't like what he was doing or planning on changing her irritating voice would greet him.
"Kim Taehyung what are you doing?" "Kim Taehyung did you at least talk with Jisoo about this?" "Kim Taehyung blah blah blah."
The woman drove him to the edge of insanity but it was refreshing, he enjoyed their arguments and before long they actually started to get along.
He was attracted to her at first and still is but for some reason he doesn't feel the desire to make her his, at least not yet. Y/N is different, he wants to make something last for once in his life and even though that scares him he's willing to give it a try yet he doesn't want to rush anything. He wants to take his time, truly get to know everything about her and build a solid friendship before rushing into a serious relationship.
Y/N hasn't dated in all the time he's known her, he once asked her why she doesn't seem interested in finding someone and she replied with
"I'm not ready for that yet, I guess it'll happen when the time is right."
Taehyung does find himself staring at her on occasion, lost in her delicate features and the way her red lips curve down just a little when she's concentrating.
He lovea the way she screws her nose up after drinking green tea, she hates the taste but says it's good for her skin.
He loves the way her head moves to the side when she's listening to someone talk, it's actually quite adorable.
He loves how feisty and independent she's become, the fact she's blind doesn't stop her from doing whatever the hell she wants. He respects her so much, admires her courage.
He loves how his fortune and fame don't intimidate her, she's not afraid to argue with him or tell him honestly what she thinks.
There's also many things that annoy him when it comes to her, so much so that she drives him crazy with it.
He hates how she has no fear, yes it's also a part about her at times he loves and respects but then there's another part of it that scares hi. The crazy woman doesn't think before she acts, always putting her safety second and they've had countless arguments about this.
He hates how she looks so beautiful when crying, the first time she cried at a movie his eyes couldn't look away. How does someone look so gross yet so beautiful at the same time, she makes this little hiccup sound when she takes a shuddering breath in and uses whatever shirt she happens to be wearing to wipe her tears away.
He hates how she makes him want to be better, how she makes him want to try something which scares him. Taehyung never thought it would happen, him wanting a serious relationship. He's wanted so many times to tell her how she makes him feel, hold her, kiss those red lips but something is always holding him back and that something is fear.
Fear of rejection
Fear of losing her
Fear of fucking up, of doing something to hurt her and then losing her from my life entirely.
He wouldn't say he's in love with her yet, it's only been six months and love takes time.
He would say that he's falling for her, slowly and at times hesitantly.
It started off as an attraction which soon became curiosity, then a friendship developed and now something far more.
