okay before I start: I just want to say that this part does include an unwanted relationship that is heavily implied to be abusive. A stop it put to it quickly, but I don't want to harm anyone by my works, so I thought I should include a warning.
Thank you.

- somewhere between archetypes, all you know is that Kwon Soonyoung is far from being a Prince Charming

- he doesn't show emotion except to yell at people who make him mad

- while he's no spoiled boy like Jeonghan, he's no punk either

- people say his temper is hot as fire

- and he has no hesitations about letting people know that he holds a 4th-dan black belt in taekwondo

- however

- you are, for some reason unfathomable to anyone

- not afraid of him

- it baffles him more than anyone

- everyone is afraid of him — heck, even the teachers are a little scared

- but you're just??? not???

- it seems like you're not afraid of anyone despite being one of the more sought-after girls in the school — or maybe that's the reason people are drawn to you like that

- Soonyoung is determined to figure you out

- so one day he surprises you by plonking himself down next to you in the last class of the day

- "uh, that seat is taken," you inform him

- he crosses his legs, eyes half-lidded

- "not any more."

- he gives the person who had been sitting there a glare and the guy grabs his stuff and runs

- Soonyoung half smirks and gives you a sideways glance

- "so, y/n," he begins, but you shush him

- "we're in class, Kwon Soonyoung."

- he gapes at you as you turn your head back to the front

- "I don't talk to slackers," you hiss when he tries to start a conversation with you again
- a tiny smirk forms on your face

- "prove that you want to talk to me."

- you tap his stack of books with your pencil and turn away, leaving him staring at you

- half affronted, half impressed, he begrudgingly tugs his books closer to him and starts actually listening

- he committed to figuring you out, and he is going to do it if it kills him

- and it just might, he thinks, raking his fingers through his bright hair in frustration as he tries to comprehend what's going on in this stupid class

- when class ends he rockets out of the building as fast as he can, forgetting his books in his haste

- "hey, Kwon Soonyoung!" you call after him

- he halts on the edge of the grounds

- and you jog up to him and hand his books over

- "you forgot these," you say, a smirk lingering on your features. "Don't fall behind."

- he stares at you as you walk away, mouth agape for the millionth time that day

- but a smirk grows on his face as you vanish
