"(Y/n)?" Mary Margaret questions as you slam the door closed to her apartment, "What's wrong?"

You shake your head and wipe the tears from your eyes. All you want to do is lie on your bed and cry. But Mary Margaret has already seen the tears and makes her way over to you.

"What happened?"

"I can't do this anymore." You admit.

Mary Margaret rubs your arms gently and sits you down on the couch. After you take a moment to steady your breathing from all the tears, you tell her everything. She doesn't say a word while you explain how Henry admitted his feelings to you and how you walked away from him, not until you're finished.

"(Y/n), saying one thing and meaning something else can make this harder for yourself. Don't you feel the same way about Henry?"

"I do." You cry, "Of course I do, I always have. But he's broken my heart too many times."

"You know, I lied to David too once about not having feelings for him."

"Really?"

"Yes, it was the hardest thing I've ever had to do." She explains, "And for a while, I lost him. It hurt so much and I don't want you making the same mistake. You should talk to him."

Sighing, you wipe the tears on your cheeks again. You can't speak to him again, not after how you treated him in the library. Besides, every time you think about him you remember all the ways he hurt you.

But you know that Mary Margaret is right. For now it will be too hard to tell Henry the truth, but that doesn't mean you can't still be friends with him. Better to resolve the issue rather than run away from it.

After the weekend was over, you readied yourself to speak to Henry at school. You knew it would be awkward, but you also know that you have to put this behind you. If you don't, it'll only become worse.
