Back at School

~Tessa's POV~

I walked behind my brother as we walked into the Great Hall on our first day of our third year. But I purposely got lost in the crowd and stayed outside the hall.

I watched as the rest of the students went into the hall and I looked around silently. As soon as everyone had gotten into the Hall, I saw him.

Draco Malfoy.

He'd definitely gotten taller. I on the other hand, hadn't. Not much.

I ran to him and practically tackled him with a hug. He stumbled a little but didn't fall. He hugged me back

"Hello to you too Tessa" he joked as we pulled away from each other.

"I missed you!" I said happily.

"I missed you too. Hiding our friendship from my father is hard work" he said, patting my head.

"You're telling me. Harry and I stay in the same room, and we use the same owl. It's always a wrestling match every time I get a letter addressed to just me" I said with a huff. He chuckled.

"Well now we can hide together" he said with a smile.

"Yeah. But now we gotta figure out how to get into the Great Hall without people wondering why we're going in together.." I said, "it sucks that we have to keep our friendship a secret"

"I know Tess but if the Slytherins found out I'd get teased and called a traitor and if your brother found out then he'd kill you" he said

"Technically he'd kill you" I said, poking his chest.

"My point exactly I'm precious cargo Tess. I need to be kept in ship shape" he said with a smirk.

"Ha-ha" I said sarcastically. He laughed.

"Alright... Let's be like really loud and then act like we were fighting and then walk in all angry?" I suggested

"Meh you're a terrible actress" he said

"I've been keeping you a secret for two years" I said

"Maybe I'll go in then you wait a while then go in." He said

"Simple and quick.. alright" I nodded

He smiled and hugged me again then went inside.

I waited a few minutes and followed suit. I walked to my brother

"Where'd you go off to?" He asked

"I had to use the bathroom do you have a problem with that?" I asked him.

"N-No of course not.. why would I?" He stammered

I nodded "good"

The sorting ceremony that was still going on ended and the food appeared on the plates.

"So did you guys hear about Sirius Black?" Ginny said
