I Will Always Love You

~Tessa's POV~

I looked around then at Harry

"Do you think..?" I asked

"He's dead." Harry replied

I huffed a small laugh of relief and grinned at him.

He hugged me as the crowd around us cheered

Ron and Hermione ran over to us and we were embraced in a group hug

I laughed as I was squished between three people

"Tessa!" A voice called

I moved myself to see through the arms wrapped around me to see a familiar, slightly messy, blond head grinning at me.

I smiled and squeezed myself out of the hug and to the ground.

Draco laughed as he came over and helped me up.

"You did it" he said, looking at me

"I guess" I said coyly

He chuckled and pulled me closer to him "Come here you" he said, embracing me.

I smiled and hugged him back happily.

"Malfoy" a voice behind us said.

I turned in surprise to see Harry, staring at us. Draco let go of me.

"Potter?" Draco asked, his hand taking mine

Harry stuck his hand toward him.

Draco rose a brow.

"Amends." Harry said, "we've had our rough points over the years-"

"Understatement" I said, then after the look Harry gave me I mumbled "sorry.."

"And now you've saved my life, I've saved yours." Harry said, "now I'm ready to make amends."

Draco looked at me

"Don't make this weird" Harry said, "Don't want to hang around the wrong sort do you? I can help you with that"

I put a hand over my mouth to hide my amusement. Draco chuckled and looked around.

He took Harry's hand and shook it.

"I think I can figure out the wrong sort for myself, thanks" Draco said, "But this means a lot Potter"

I laughed at them, quoting each other from first year

"Oh my god just shut up and kiss already!" I said

"If you insist" Draco said. There was a split second of fear in Harry's eyes before Draco turned to me and lifted me up.

I laughed as he spun around and smashed his lips onto mine.

I grinned against his lips and kissed back.

"Get a room!" Ron yelled

I pulled away from Draco and smiled at Ron and the others.  

Ron stepped forward.

"You're still a git. But I trust you." He said, "but hurt her and you won't know what happened to you"

"Got it" Draco said with a nervous chuckle

Ron shot him a quick glare then went back to Hermione.

Draco was silent for a moment then he chuckled and his hand grasped mine.

"Come on. I want to talk to you something" he said

I nodded and let him lead me away

~time skip~

Draco and I sat at the top of the astronomy tower, looking down on the grounds of Hogwarts

"I'm glad you're okay Tessa... I don't know what I would've done if you'd... If I'd..." He couldn't finish.

"I wouldn't leave you. Not truely" I said, cupping his cheek. He set his hand on mine.

He bit his lip, looking at the ground for a moment. "I love you so much Tessa..."

"I love you too Draco"

"I want you to marry me" he said after another moment of silence.

I blushed deeply "Y-You what?"

He nodded "I want you to marry me. I don't ever want to lose you again"

I stared at him for a moment, in shock. Then my eyes teared up.

"Of course I'll marry you" I said with a grin.

He grinned.

"I love you Tessa" he said, looking at me.

"I love you too" I replied.

He smirked mischievously and set his hands on my waist.

In one quick motion, he lifted me off my feet and dipped me down as if we were dancing.

I looked up at him in surprise, blushing.

He smiled at me

"Cheeky git" I said

"You love me" he replied.

I said nothing and kissed him passionately.

Yes. I did love him. Him and his Heart of Gold.
