~Tessa's POV~

I paced the hallway. Draco watched me quietly. It was the day of the first task.

"I can't do this.... I can't do this! ITS A DRAGON, DRACO! A DRAGON!!!" I yelled at him

"Shhhh Tessa! Calm down! Someone's gonna hear" he said quickly

"I can't calm down!!!!" I hissed

He put his hands on my shoulders. "Look. You are a brilliant young witch. You excel at Potions and Defense Against the Dark Arts. I know full well that you could do this even without your brother" he said calmly. I nodded a little.

He kissed my forehead. I blushed deeply. "You are going to be okay" he said.

"Thank you Draco.." I said softly. I hugged him tightly. Then we heard a camera flash behind us and we both gasped and looked in the direction of the noise.

Rita Skeeter stood there, a grin on her face. Her camera man stood next to her.

"Ah young love" she gushed

"No.. no no no! Miss Skeeter you can't publish that! My brother doesn't know about our friendship! Please if there is anything good in you don't publish that photo!" I begged.

"Tessa please. Let me" Draco said. He waltzed forward. "I believe you know my father, Lucius Malfoy?" He asked

Rita nodded

"Well. If you publish that photo I will see to it that he has you fired" Draco said plainly.

Rita stammered a moment then sighed. "Delete it David. Have a good day, Mr. Malfoy, Miss Potter" she grumbled before walking down the hall.

I jumped into Draco's arms "you are a life saver!!" I exclaimed

He chuckled and hugged me back. "Go. You need to be at the champion's tent. I'll be rooting for you in my head" he said. I nodded and ran off.

When I got to the tent, Harry immediately sighed with relief.

"I thought you were abandoning me for a second there" he said, standing.

"Nope. You're stuck with me kid" I said with a smile

"I'm two minutes older than you" he said with a frown. I giggled.

Barty Crouch walked into the tent, carrying a small pouch. Dumbledore was behind him.

"Alright champions! This pouch will help you select your dragons! Ladies first!" He turned to Fleur. She reached into the bag and gasped. When she pulled her hand out, a tiny green dragon was crawling on her hand. Crouch told her the name of her dragon. (I seriously want one of those little dragons. So cute)

Viktor and Cedric went next then it was our turn.

Harry reached into the pouch with a frown. We both knew we were getting the worst of all. The Hungarian Horntail. Harry pulled out the small version of the Horntail and Crouch bit his lip.

Harry and I glanced at each other and sighed.

"Alright. When the cannon sounds you'll-" Dumbledore was cut off by the sound of a cannon. He sighed, "Cedric. You first"

Cedric nodded and left the tent. Dumbledore and Crouch weren't far behind.

"Just our luck right? Getting the worst dragon?" I said, looking at Harry. He nodded. We both sat down.

One after one the other champions left the tent and defeated their dragons. Harry and I were getting more and more nervous

Finally we heard Dumbledore's voice. "Three champions have fought and defeated their dragons. And now our last champions." Harry and I stood quietly.
