~Tessa's POV~

It'd been weeks since we'd started Dumbledore's Army.

And a new problem had risen.

The Inquisitorial Squad.

And a major problem for me. Draco was in the Inquisitorial Squad.

He was practically the head of it. Umbridge seemed to like him given his prefect status and his attitude.

This had caused a rift between us.

We were in the Room of Requirements. Ready to teach the next lesson.

"Alright! Today we'll be working on the patronus charm." I said

"Make sure to use your happiest memories!" Harry added

We both smiled and headed around the room

I headed toward the twins. Fred had absolutely no trouble summoning his patronus. But George was having some issues.

I moved to stand next to him. "Channel your happiest memory" I said, raising his wand arm a little higher, "focus on it and it alone."

He looked at me.

"Focus Georgie" I said with a smile

He nodded. "Expecto patronum!"

Still nothing happened.

"You'll get there. I promise" I said, patting his shoulder

He nodded.

I kept walking around. Patronuses of all sorts flew around the room.

There was suddenly a loud thud that shook the room. Harry and I looked at each other and moved toward the sound. There was another thud and the glass on the wall fell and shattered to the ground.

There was a small hole in the wall. I peaked through it, coming face to face with professor Umbridge.

"I'll make quick work of this" she said, pointing her wand at the hole

"Back up!" Harry yelled, grabbing my shoulder.

The wall then exploded. Everyone stared at Umbridge and The Inquisitorial Squad.

"Get them" she said.

The Inquisitorial Squad nodded and headed toward us.

Draco ceased my arm. "Tessa." He said

"Draco." I glared at him

He was taken back by my cold look.

"I had no idea you were part of this Tess" he said, looking at me.

"Seems there's a lot of things you don't know about me" I spat.

Draco dragged me out of the room.

Umbridge looked at me. "Miss Potter. I should've known" she said, looking at me.

"Get your hands off her Malfoy!" Harry spat.

Draco looked at Harry "stay out of this Potter"

"Don't talk to my brother that way" I said

"Tessa.." he said.

"We need to talk" I said.

"That can wait" Draco said as he followed Umbridge, dragging me with him.

~Time Skip~

Draco and I sat in chairs by the fire in Dumbledore's office. Draco still had a hold of my arm

The Minister and Kingsley ShackleBolt, he's in the Order, stood over our sign up sheet.

Draco glared at me.

"I can't believe you Tessa" he said, "Creating a resistance? Seriously?"

"Do you have a problem Draco? We need to learn to defend ourselves. Voldemort is back. And you know it" I said

"Of course I know it Tess. I just don't go around broadcasting it like a loon" Draco spat

"A loon? I thought you understood Draco. I thought you cared that I was constantly being bullied because Harry and I are supposedly nutcases" I said

"I did Tess-"

"Clearly you didn't! You've lied to me. You've lied to everyone. Your own father is one of Voldemort's psychos!" I said

"Don't talk about my father" he said

"Why not? You're always insulting Harry and my parents! I thought you cared about me" I said.

At this time I realized that everyone in the room was staring at us

"Can we focus on the task at hand?" Fudge asked.

I fell silent.

Draco sighed.

"Clearly we were right about Albus Dumbledore wanting to start an uprising" Fudge said

"He didn't do anything! It was us!" I said

"Nonsense. It's not called Potter's Army. It's called Dumbledore's Army" Dumbledore said.

"I'm sorry professor but we'll be taking you to Azkaban" Fudge said

"I'm sorry. But it seems you think I'm going to... What's the phrase? Come quietly?" He said, stepping onto his desk.

We all watched as Fawkes, his Phoenix flew to him. Then they disappeared in a burst of fire.

"You may not like it" Kingsley said after the silence "But the man's got style"

~Time Skip~
~Draco's POV~

Umbridge dismissed us and gave Tessa and Harry detention.

Tessa and I walked together to a place where we could talk.

As soon as we got there, Tessa turned on me.

"I can't believe you Draco! Siding with that... That toad woman! You're supposed to be there for me!" She said

"I want to be there for you! But-"

"No Draco! I don't want to hear it! There is evil out there and there will be bad things ahead. And if you're not with me, you're against me." She said "and I can't be with someone who's against me'

"Wait... Tessa... Are... Are you breaking up with me?" I asked, my heart dropping.

"Yes. Yes Draco. I'm breaking up with you. We just aren't working anymore" she said. And then she walked away.

I watched her go until she was gone. Then I dropped to my knees. "What have I done.."
