Make Him Jealous

~Tessa's POV~

I sighed as I walked to Hagrid's alone.

I needed to talk to someone. And Hagrid just seemed best.

I knocked on the door.

"Tessa! Wha's the matt'r? Yer eyes are so red" Hagrid said as he opened the door.

They had been. It'd been three days since Draco and I broke up. And I spent all three of them crying.

"C'mon in. I'll make some tea" Hagrid said, stepping aside

I stared at the ground as I sat at Hagrid's table. He set a cup of tea in front of me

"Now. What seems ter be bothering you?" He asked

"I-I broke up with Draco.." I said softly

"I thought that was o'er the summer" he said

"That wasn't real... We just started being together in secret" I said.

"Ah... Well. Good on you. Tha boy's not ter be trusted" he said

"He's different than you think..." I said, "he's very sweet... When it's just us..."

I quietly played with my tea cup.

"I understand that yer hurtin' but you've got to move past it" Hagrid said. He patted my shoulder roughly.

"Thanks Hagrid... For talking with me... You're too good to me and Harry you know that?"

"Tha's jus cause I like ya. I've known ya since you were no bigger than a bowtruckle" he said, beaming with pride.

I smiled a bit and stood. "I should get going. I promised George I'd meet him at The Three Broomsticks. He wants me to stop sulking" I said, setting my cup down

"Well come see me anytime. I miss you guys" Hagrid said with a smile

"I'll send Harry, Ron, and Hermione down if you like" I said

He smiled and nodded.

I waved and left, headed to Hogsmeade.

~Time Skip~

I sighed as I slid into the booth beside George

"You alright right there Tessa?" He asked

"Of course I'm not George" I said with a sigh

"You have to forget about Malfoy. He's no good anyway" George said

"That's what everyone keeps telling me" I said

"I thought no one knew"

"You and Hagrid. You both told me to forget him. But don't you see? I don't want to forget him. Sure us not being together is for the best... But it doesn't feel good at all" I said

"Do something to keep your mind off him. By the way, I ordered two butter beers" he said

"Thanks. But I just don't know what to do to get my mind off him. Dumbledore's Army is through now so that's not there for me" I said

"I'm sure you'll find something. Or someone" he said, winking

"Yeah right... As if I could date anyone right now" I said softly

He sighed softly. I looked at him and he gave me a quick smile.

"Well I say you should date someone. Make him jealous"

"I don't want to use anyone like that George. You know I'm not like that" I said

Madam Rosmerta set our drinks down and walked off.

"Maybe they can be in on it." He said.

"The only ones who know about me and Draco are you, and me and Draco" I said

"And Hagrid" George said, chuckling.

I rolled my eyes playfully. "I just don't want to get anyone else involved" I said.

He shrugged "Alright. But if you change your mind, I'll help you" he said.

"Seriously?" I asked

"Sure why not?" He said with a small shrug.

I shook my head "I don't want to do that to you Georgie"

He shrugged "Your loss. I'm a great kisser"

I laughed "Says who?"

"Says me. I always enjoy it" he joked.

I laughed again.

"See? Look at that. Laughing already" he said happily

"You really are something George" I said with a small smile

"Thanks. And seriously don't hesitate to take me up on that offer" he said, playfully nudging me.

I smiled "Yeah I'll think about that George"

He grinned and drank his butter beer. I did the same.

I'm glad I had friends like him. They always make life shine a little brighter.
