I get everything set up to make these poop emoji cupcakes. I grab two aprons from the closet. One for me and one for Edward. I walk into the living room.

"Here's your apron." I say and throw it on him, "I'm ready to start when you are."

He gets up and puts the apron on "Let's do this." We walk back to the kitchen and I turn to see Edward in his apron. He's looks so cute in it!

"Okay. Since there's only two of us, you can make the frosting. And I'll make the actual cupcakes. Well have to see who can make the fudge to go inside." I say. I still am not getting over that he looks so adorable in his apron.

"On it." He says. I hope this doesn't turn out terrible. Edward opens his phone to open the recipe. I read off the ingredients for the cupcakes and set them out on the counter. I preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

"Where's the recipe? How do I find it?" How cute. I grab his phone and open up Pinterest. I search for "Poop Emoji Cupcake Recipe" and open up the same one I had open.

"Oh. Thanks." He says. So adorable.

"No problem." I say back with a smile. I hand back his phone and start on the cupcakes. It starts by saying to whisk together a bunch of dry ingredients. Like the all-purpose flour, whole-wheat flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Fun. I do so and move onto the next step.

You know what big problem we have? My counter is super small and I don't have any other counter space. We both have to squeeze together to make our stuff. Ridiculous. I reach over to grab the stick of butter. I pull the stick towards me as Edward stares me down.

"Next time don't reach across the counter. Ask for it." He says in a weird British accent.

"Alright, Sir Mace-a-lot." I tried mixing up his last name into a fancy royal name.I laugh, but he doesn't. This leads into awkward silence.

"Thank you, Miss Davisó." What? Did he just? What? This is an "lol" moment. I start laughing my butt off. He does the same.

"Davisó? Is that Spanish? Oh my lord!" I sort of die and roll on the floor.

"Ashlyn!" Edward says, trying not to laugh. He grabs my arm and pulls me back up. I struggle to stand on my feet. He's doing all the work to pull me up. He's one strong human! He picks me up and pushes my hair behind my ear.

"Uh, could you pass me the flour, please?" I ask, to get out of the gaze.

"Yeah. Of course." He grabs the bag and stands in front of me. He puts his hand into the bag and picks up a pinch. "Thanks for asking," he throws it into my face, "Ashlyn." Excuse me? Did he just?

"You did not!" I say as I grab an egg. I hold one in my hand and reach to break it on his head.

"Please, no!" He says and braces himself. I smash the egg right on the top of his head. "Oh it's on now!" He goes and grabs the box of cocoa powder and throws some over my face again.

"You like powders, don't you?" I say and grab some flour to throw in his face. He quickly goes to the cabinet and grabs some sugar.

"No way! No!" I scream and try to run away. He grabs my arm and pulls me back. He pours about five cups of sugar all over my head.

"You did not just..." the doorbell rings. Oh no. How will I answer it? I sneak up to the door and look through the peep-hole. It's Haylee. Oh no. What is she gonna say about the mess we made? This is gonna be bad.

I turn to Edward, "it's Haylee." I whisper with some fear.

"Just open it. What's the worst that could happen?" He's right. I unlock the door and open it up. We both stand in the doorway.

"What are you guys doing?" She asks in a bitchy voice, "are you guys having a nerf war with food?" Not exactly.

"We're just baking." I say with suspicious laughter after, "are you here to help?"

"Uh...Yeah." She says.

"Well come on in!" I swing the door wide open and let her inside. Why does he like her. She's so....so...she's so...dumb. What a high vocabulary level I have.

"Ugh! Your house smells like-" of course she tries to insult me, "look at the kitchen!" She stomps into the kitchen and gasps. She's acting like my mom.

"What did we say?" I say.

"Why won't you clean this up," She pauses, "Cinderella." She crosses her arms and I grab the broom.

"How about we go sit on the couch and watch some TV?" Edward says and puts his arm around her.

"Sure." Haylee says in a flirty way. They walk into the family room and Haylee gives me a snarl. I walk into the kitchen and do the work my "step sister" told me to do. Why do I have to live like this? Why can't I just get the boy?

I sweep all the ingredients in one pile, then sweep that into a dust pan.

When I'm done, I say, "done!" No answer. I just hear them laughing together at the show. I sigh and hesitate if I should sit down with them, or say it again.

"I'm ready to continue now." I say. Nothing. I walk over into the family room and cross my arms. I stare at them, with jealousy.

"Alright, babe." Babe? Babe! Who does he think he is?! Her boyfriend??? Oh wait...

"It's time to get cooking." He raises his eyebrows several times as he says it.

"Okay!" She gives him a kiss on the cheek.

"I don't want to be the third wheel anymore." I whisper underneath my breath.

"What?" He stands up.

"Hm?" I say as I raise my eyebrows. He gives me a weird look and walks to the kitchen. I follow and measure all the ingredients...again.
