chapter 3

        It's been 3 days since I last saw Jack. I haven't texted or called him. I've been arguing with myself for these past days deciding whether or not to call him. I don't know why I haven't. I enjoyed our conversation the other night. He seems like a great guy. But, I don't know. He doesn't live in New York. & he's friends with Shawn. That's just going to be awkward. See! I did it again! Ugh! Why am I so complicated? Whatever, I'm just gonna call. "Hello" someone says. "Hi, is jack there" I respond. "Yea this is him" he says. I felt my stomach swirl. His voice sounded different. It was raspy, as if he had just woken up. Tbh it was pretty hot. "Oh, um hey this is Katherine" I say. He let's out a yawn and I can feel him smiling. "Ah finally, I was starting to think I wasn't going to hear from you ever again" he says. "Well Mr. Gilinsky, I believe you have my ring." I say. "Umm about that" he says. "Jack!?" I rely worried. "Kat.." He says in a not so serious tone. "What happened to my ring?" I scorn at him. "It feel in the drain" he replies. "Jack what .." Before I could finish I here him laughing. "You still have don't you !?" I say. "Yes" he says while still laughing. "It's not funny jack!" I yell at him. "Yea it is" he says still laughing. "It's cute when you're mad" he replies. 

        I can feel my cheeks getting red as I start to smile. "Anyway, I'm glad you called. Me and the guys are planning to go walk around the city, you wanna come?" He says still somewhat laughing. "It depends" I say. "On?" He says. "If it's a date cause I don't do dates" I reply. He laughs "ok then, it's an adventure" he says. "Alright where do i meet you guys?" I reply. "Why don't I pick you up?" He says. "Nah, I'll just meet you" I say. "Scared I'll know where you live?" He says laughing. "Of course, I don't want you looking through my window" I reply joking around. "Oh I would sure enjoy that" he says joking. I laugh "so what time and where stalker?" I say. "2 pm & Central Park" he says. "Okay" I say. "Alright" he replies. "I'll see you at 2" I reply. "It's a date, oh wait no, it's a not a date." He says laughing. "It's not a date" I reply giggling. "See you later" he says. "See you soon" I say. & the line cuts. Man did I miss his voice.
