Finding Us Again

Never Again

Nina's Pov-

The best part about mom and pops staying in their hometown. In Ian's home town. Was that everybody knows everybody. And I've already met them all pretty much. And a lot of them have met Phoebe too. So they weren't really star struck.
They were just happy to see us again.
We had been telling everybody that Phoebe and I were just passing through. That we were on a girl's road trip. And we just wanted to stop and see mom and pops.

And it was so nice too. Because I was able to just have fun and relax. Pheebs felt the same way. It was nice to be somewhere that we didn't have to have a guard completely up.

"Ooo Nina this would look so cute somewhere in the dream house." Phoebe said breaking me away from my thoughts.

She was pointing to a wooden sign that was painted to look like the Galaxy and read "Home Is Where Your Dreams Come True."
And I had to agree with her. It is our 'dream house' after all.

"I'm getting it. This will be the first thing we buy for the house." I said and put it in the cart.

"It is actually kinda perfect." Momma said.

"Yeah it is. Ian's gonna love it." I smiled.

"So are we gonna do some shopping for the hosue this week while Candice is here too?" Phoebe asked while we walked through the store.

"Yes. We definitely are. I was gonna take you and Candy to the house maybe Monday or Tuesday. So you guys can see it and the rooms and stuff. So you can help me decide on stuff. Then our lovely mom's are gonna help too." I said smiling and wrapping my arm around Edna's.

"Yes baby, we are. And I for one couldn't be more excited. And know Chell will be too." She said kissing my forehead. She calls my mom Chell.

"That sounds like a fun day to me. And Candy will definitely be on board too. We know she will. What about the outside of the house are doing anything to that?" Pheebs asked.

"We are. Pops is gonna handle all of that. He's gonna help me with picking out the best flower combinations and planting them. And he's gonna help us plant a garden. And build me a beautiful waterfall/water fountain relaxation area." I smiled proudly. I loved being able to say he was helping us. That they were.

"And dad couldn't be more excited about that. He's probably already looking for inspiration for your waterfall/water fountain right now." Mom laughed. And I joined her.

"He probably is. I knew he was the perfect person to help me with it. But I also want you and him to help me with a surprise for Ian. I'm gonna need you and Paul to help too Pheebs."

"Of course we'll help. We don't have anything planned. And we planned on staying longer than everybody else anyways. If that's ok Mama?" She asked.

"Oh honey of course it is. You know having our babies around is our favorite thing. We love having you guys. And having the four of you together for as long as we can is gonna make us both happy. You're welcome as long as you want to be here." Mom told her they hugged and we continued walking and getting the things we needed.

"What do you have in mind as a surprise for Ian babe?" Mom asked.

"Well we have more than enough rooms in the house. We have our master bedroom. And we'll have 3 guest rooms set up. So that leaves 2 more rooms." I was gonna finish but mom was looking weird.
