Over the next month, I began remembering most things about mine and Willy's relationship. We had started working on my life before the factory, which was very similar to what I already remembered. Willy would kiss my head whenever I would remember something. I would try to convince him to kiss me, but he would always tell me I had to wait.

One day, after we left Charlie at school, Willy informed me that I had a doctors appointment.

"You couldn't tell me this last night?" I asked him.

"I knew you would make up some excuse to get out of it."

"Will this appointment let me kiss you?"

"If everything is okay."

"Maybe more?"

"You're on your thingy."

"The fact that you know my schedule bugs me."

"Not my fault, sweetheart." I kissed his cheek, as we stepped into the elevator. "But you can have all the sweets you want when we get home."

"You sure about that?" I laughed.

"Just don't make yourself sick."

"Promise."

Back at the factory Willy and I waited for the doctor. I played with my ring, feeling nervous.

"Can we ask about kids?" I asked Willy, as he sat back in his chair. He frowned but nodded. "Just so he doesn't have to come back. I understand if you're not ready..."

"I just think we should wait another year or so, so we're prepared." I reached over taking his hand.

When the doctor left, after saying everything was back to normal or mostly back to normal, Willy spoke. "Eat, then we'll go pick up Charlie."

"What's wrong?" I asked, picking up my sandwich.

"Why would something be wrong, starshine?"

"I just thought you'd be happy. We received good news today."

"I am happy, but we don't want to be late for picking up Charlie. He hasn't had a good year at school, and I don't want him walking alone."
