You've got to be fucking kidding me.
A whip?
Did this fucker just raise his hand at my girl with a fucking whip?
I've known this guy was fucked up in the head, ever since the first moment I saw him, but this is new even for me. There is a chance I won't win this fight, but I'll make sure on my fucking life Roxanne is out of here, safe.
Her eyes are watery, and her expression says so many things—happiness, sadness...relief. All I can do is look into her eyes, because if I look at the rest of her wounded body, who knows what I'll do. I'd fucking kill the bastard for real, and then I'd have to be behind bars for the rest of my fucking life without ever touching my girl again.
"Well," Armstrong said, or should I call him Pierce? "you've figured out it was me."
I scoffed. "Damn right I did."
There was a moment of silence, both Pierce and I were glaring at each other, trying to figure out our next move. About three seconds later, I decided waiting was a waste of time, and all I want to use my time for is placing Roxanne in my arms.
So I shoved past him, not even giving him the time of day, because in a minute the cops will be here with Detective Martinez and James.
Pierce just stood there, allowing me to kneel down to Roxanne, who was now bawling like a baby.
"Baby." I whispered, untying her from the bed.
She sniffled, managing to smile slightly. "Took you long enough."
My heart started to beat again, this was it, I haven't lost my girl—she's not completely broken. I've made it before she left...I fucking made it. I fucking made it!
Pierce continued to stay still and observe us as I picked Roxanne up, and curled her into my arms. Fuck she lost a lot of weight, there's barely any meat on these bones.
Before leaving, I had to ask. "Why?"
He looked at me and knew exactly what I was asking, then looked at Roxanne. "Your father isn't innocent, he was the number one reason why my life is shit." Pierce looked at me. "Detective Martinez told you he took a bunch of girls off the street, well one of them was my sister, and Alfonzo Lombardo's daughter."
"Wait...you're Parker Lombardo?"
Pierce nodded. "Louis Grey did as much dirty work as the rest, he not only touched my sister...but impregnated her."
"No."
His jaw tightened. "Alfonzo blew her off, calling her a slut, and at the time...I was still working for my father. Not to long after...she committed suicide...so I don't regret what I've done. I'm sorry to take it out on you Roxanne but this is only to show your father what it feels to lose someone important."
Police sirens started to echo all around, and that's when I knew it was time to go. However before I could depart, I had one more thing to say. "I sympathize with you, that's a heartbreaking thing to experience. Even so, be warned, I'm letting it go now but if you dare come near Roxanne again—I'll cut your fucking hands off."
With that, I left him, and let the cops deal with him.
