You saw as Bucky began to hobble, attempting to make his way towards his best friend. Steve...?" He questioned, dropping his gun as his legs buckled and gave out from underneath him. You went to call out to the winter soldier when an unfathomable feeling began to rise inside of you.

At first, it simply felt like pins and needles going up your body. First your toes and feet, quickly rising to your hands, chest and eventually your cheeks. You couldn't even see Bucky anymore when you fell, Steve leaning over where Buck once was.

"Steve." You called breathlessly, reaching a trembling hand outwards. Steve spun around immediately, running towards you. He grabbed your hand as he skidded onto the ground next to you, pulling your body onto his lap. You gripped his hand back as tight so you could, the pins and needles forming into pain that was building up increasingly fast. You gritted your teeth as you let out a groan, "Steve please make it stop. Pl...please."

"It's ok." He said, keeping his grip on your hand, "you're going to be okay." But it was at that moment that the grip that Steve once had on you began loosening. He held your hand as hard as he could, but your touch began withering away from under him.

"No, no...Steve..." You let out one more beg before your whole body disappeared from his lap. Steve sat in silence for a few seconds. Within a minute, he had lost his best friend and fiancé. He was confused, angry, and most of all... sad.
