You had been taken. You weren't safe and had a huge risk of getting killed, you'd been compromised. It was something they always told you not to do in training for shield. Literally one of the only things you couldn't do. Clint was at avengers tower when he heard the news and he almost fell over. It was through a message from nick, who didn't know about your relationship, it read,
"agent Y/L/N has been compromised. Requires backup."
Clint had gotten out that door faster than you could say the word go and was on his way to help you. What people didn't know was that he was your boyfriend and you were his. You were both worried about what people would think because you thought people at shield and the avengers wouldn't approve of an openly gay relationship in their mist, so you kept it a secret. But he was the light of your life, he kept you sane amongst all the hate and aliens and all kinds of other shit in the world.
He rocked up to the building where you were on a mission and ran inside, bow in hand. He singlehandedly took down everyone inside and untied you. You kissed at the wrong time, Nat and another agent with a live-streaming camera came in. There was a moment of awkwardness before Nat finally spoke, "well for people who live around spies, you've kept this quiet." Before laughing and hugging you both, telling you she was happy for you.
When you arrived back, there was nobody who didn't accept you, everyone was so understanding and king and happy for you. You thought you might cry. Ot felt do good to have it out in the open.
