CHRISTMAS IMAGINE [3]

••1935••
You could say that Christmas for you was slightly different than the next persons.

It would begin as normal; getting up, checking the presents and stockings opening them briefly before taking a seat on the couch. Being 17, you didn't get much anymore, instead helping your presents buy for your younger brother, Joseph. This year, you got a scarf and a large bag of nuts, and you were more than appreciative. You would sit with your parents on the couch and watch as Joseph tore apart the brown paper that covered the few gifts he got, as well as checking in his stocking. He got oranges, one candy cane, as well as one pair of gloves and one pair of socks. It took a long time to make the gloves and socks perfect, so the look of excitement on his face when he saw it made yourself and your parents extremely happy.

After that, you went to church. You walked there listening to Joseph ramble on about how much he loved Christmas, as well as his socks and gloves. He wore them to Church, which was a great achievement.

From there, you went home briefly to collect the presents you spent so long creating, going to the homestead of James Buchanan Barnes. He was one of your two best friends, and it was kind of a tradition to go have lunch with him and his family. You'd get there, and be greeted by his two little sisters sprinting towards you. You put down the bag of gifts before they got to you. Anna got there first, and you gave her a big hug whilst she screeched "Merry Christmas" into your ear.
Betty came next, you actually picking her up in your arms because she was so small. "Merry Christmas." She smiled.

Your family walked inside, Anna and Betty essentially attached to your hip. Inside, was your other best friend, Steve. Steve and James were sitting by the fire, casually talking whilst playing cards.

"Hello Boys." You smiled. They looked to you, large smiles coming onto their faces.

"Y/N." They both said, quickly getting up to hold you in their arms.

"Merry Christmas, Y/N." James smiled, coming to hug you first. You gripped him tightly, swaying him back and forth. When you pulled away, Steve was looking a little shy next to him.

"Come here, Stevie." You opened your arms, and he walked into them with a small smile on his face. He never pushed anyone to do things they might not want to do, so you always had to ensure him that things are ok. He was such a gentlemen. "Merry Christmas, pal." You said onto his hair.

You went and greeted Steve's mother and the rest of James' family before meeting the two back at the fire. The bag of gifts was still clutched in your hand, you sitting it in your lap. "I got you two presents." You smiled, fishing your hand onto the bag to get them out. You got out James first. It was a pair of beautiful gloves. You spent practically double the time making those ones than you did for Joseph (mainly because your mother assisted for those ones), also ensuring that they look their best. You gave them to James, and he got up and hugged you again. He let out a soft string of thank yous, knowing full well how long it would have taken.

Next, was Steve's. Steve's present took even longer than the gloves. You actually began to do it months before Christmas, and only finished it not long ago. It was a beautiful wooden sculpture that you had created with the help of your dad. Steve's jaw dropped when he saw it.

"Oh my gosh, Y/N. It's awesome." He whispered, taking it from you. "Are you sure it's mine?"

You chuckled, "Yes Steve. It's definitely yours."
