CHRISTMAS IMAGINE [2]

The room was filled with a warm buzz that only could be created once a year. It was the perfect balance of happiness and drunkenness that couldn't be repeated elsewhere.

The Christmas tree stood as tall as ever in the corner, along with almost every person with some sort of drink in their hand. There wasn't a sad person in sight. Clint watched from a distance how his children ran and sprinted around the tower, their newest gifts gripped tightly in their hand, ready to show everyone.

Where were you? You might ask. You were just about the only person whose drink was not alcoholic; but sitting on the couch next to a particular someone whose drink would purely be alcohol. Valkyrie. You'd probably get smashed after one sip of hers, but the whole thing didn't really seem to faze her at all. She just drank it peacefully, a resting smirk on her face.

Suddenly, you had a thought. Valkyrie had unfortunately come late, so you couldn't give her your present. You excused yourself, fished under the tree for the one that said her name, found it and took it back to the couch. You sat back down, a smile on your face.

You passed it over. "Here you go, love." You said. Valkyrie eyes widened, and she put her drink down.

"Seriously?" Valkyrie asked, "I didn't get you anything besides a hug."

You kept holding the present out. "It's okay, I don't mind. I want you to have this."

Valkyrie reluctantly took the present, and began to open it. You sat there excitedly, watching her take off the wrapping paper. "Oh my god. Two things?" She gushed once lifting the lid off the box. You nodded. "Y/N this is too much. I can't accept this."

"You have to." You smiled, taking a sip of your drink.
Valkyrie pulled out a sharp, short blade as well as a bottle of alcohol. Her two favourite things condensed into one present.

"Thank you so much Y/N." Valkyrie whispered, pulling you in for a quick hug.

"No problem." You replied, tossing the wrapping paper aside.

See, Christmas was amazing.
