"Have you ever heard of Peter Parker?" You ask, staring into your cup of hot chocolate. Bucky choked on his coffee, almost spitting it all over you. You raised your eyebrows while he coughed and spluttered.

"N-n-" he coughed a few times before continuing, "no I haven't, doll. Why'd you ask?"

You hesitated, trying to sound as level as possible when you replied. "Oh- nothing. He-he's just a boy from school." You said softly, meeting Bucky's eyes. He looked at you for a few seconds, before placing his cup down and moving it to the side slightly.

"You're lying."

"What?! No I'm not."

"Yes you are. Who is he." Bucky asked impatiently. You sighed, running both hands through your hair.

"I-I like him, okay? He's really cool, and cute. He goes to my school."

You rambled for a while about Peter, not knowing about your father's presence in the doorway behind you. Even for an ex-Russian Soldier, Bucky didn't seem to realise. Or if he did, he didn't want to force you to be quiet. He just listened; and so did Tony.

"Can you tell me why my daughter is asking about, and having a crush on a 'Peter Parker'?" Tony demanded. The line went silent for a few seconds, and the Stark though about hanging up and calling again.

"S-Sorry? Mr Stark? Your daughter has a crush on me?"

"Yes. And I want to know what you did to make that happen."

Peter Parker ummed, aahed and suffered from the other side of the phone, not exactly knowing what to do with that information. He didn't know why or how it managed to happen, but it made his stomach do backflips. Y/N Stark was the prettiest girl at Midtown high, being more commonly known as her fake name of Y/N Rhodes. Tony didn't want people to know of her real identity, so she was registered under a different last name.

Nonetheless, Tony was livid that his daughter. His only daughter. Was unintentionally in love with a superhero.

"I- ah. I don't know, Mr Stark. I only sit with her in chemistry, because we were assigned like that. I just make sure she's okay from a distance like you said, and she hasn't seemed to notice." Peter was nervous, as he always was when talking to the Stark. Tony sighed, thinking about what to do.

"Peter. She can't know about your identity. You can't let her know that you know about HER identity. You need to get her off your back so she doesn't like you anymore."

"Mr Stark wai—"

"No, Peter. We're done talking." Tony hung up the phone, throwing it across the lab. He groaned, pulling his hands through his hair angrily. Tony wanted you, his daughter, to be protected at all times, and getting to close to Peter could change that. He could compromise the secrets Tony has intentionally kept away from her, and that would be catastrophic. It was better this way... for you to have a broken heart rather than not be alive.
