It sounded like a freight train was bellowing past. But no, it was the snores of your boyfriend, Tom. You groaned, attempting to manoeuvre yourself out of his arms to cover your ears from the horrid noise. He was fast asleep, and his iron grip was not budging from around your waist.
You eventually started poking him on the chest, trying to find a way to wake up. He stirred, his snores becoming quieter, but still remaining. "Tom." You whispered harshly, putting your arms up to his face. You tapped your fingers lightly on his temples, as his eyes fluttered open. He readjusted his arms, pulling you even closer.
"Mmm?" He replied tiredly, yawning.
"Can you stop snoring? Please?" You asked, moving your hands to his hair. You ran your hands through them as Tom nodded, him drifting off once again.
Just as you were about to fall asleep yourself, your eyes becoming heavy and droopy, a noise broke the silence. A deafening, horrendous snore. "For fucks sake," you laughed angrily, your eyes snapping open.
