You remembered it all too clearly, the way he fell, the noise his body made as it collided with the floor. The crushing noise his skull made ad your captor had wrapped a pole around the back of his head. You remembered crying for a long time, restrained, unable to move, watching as he slowly bled from the back of his head. Your captor had run, it took a long time for anyone to find you, about two more hours, it was Steve. He got you both out of there but there wasn't a lot of hope for Bucky now.

You gripped his unmoving hand in yours and pressed it to the side of your face. He was still in a coma, chances were, he'd always be in a coma. He couldn't breathe on his own, there was brain function, but just barely at the moment. The doctors say it could improve, but it's highly unlikely. His hands were constantly cold, icy like death. You tried to drove the thoughts from your mind, he would be okay, he has to be okay.

You were there the day it all stopped. You were beside him, like always, praying for the best, willing him to wake up. He didn't. The small lit up green screen on the monitor went red and the white line went flat. His heart stopped. A doctor ran in and pushed the code blue button, but it was too late, they performed cpr to no result. You stood in the corner with your hands to your mouth to control yourself, you knew of you broke down, they'd make you leave the room. "Time of death, 19:56." One of the doctors confirmed.

A small whimper came from your lips, then the full blown meltdown you'd avoided. "No, NO! Bucky. BUCKY! JAMES! Please, please, please! No please, babe! Wake up! WAKE UP!!" You felt tears fall down your cheeks freely, then you went light headed and fainted. When you woke up, you were in a hospital bed, you were on some sedatives and painkillers, you saw a nurse and asked him, "where's my boyfriend? Where's Bucky?" He came over to you in your daze, your confusion and pain and put a hand to yours, "he's gone."
