" We can't let people see we aren't like them," I say as I put on a jacket.
" Got it," Emily says, Matthew gives me a thumbs up and Deserae gives me a nod. I turn to face the small town we are about to enter I take a deep breath trying to calm my nerves.
*20 minutes later*
We are walking down a street that has a lot of stores. We can't focus on any of them if there's no food, also it's hard enough trying to act normal. Someone's staring at you to your right, comes a voice in my head, I know it's Des and I look to my right and someone's staring at me. stalker much? We need to get out of here, can you tell Emily and Matthew? On it. There's a restaurant up ahead. I nod. We all walk into the the small restaurant and we are greeted by a waiter. " Welcome, how many?"
" Four," I say
" Follow me this way please," He says walking away, we all follow him and take are seats while he hands us are menus, we all ask for a water wanting him to leave. When he's finely gone I say in a hushed voice.
" We eat than we leave, I'm getting the creeps,"
" Same here, I'm picking up some weird thoughts, also we shouldn't tell anyone are names because the waiter and everyone else in this town are looking for us," Deserae whispers
" Oh jeez this doesn't sound good," Matthew says keeping his voice low so only we could hear him.
" Yeah I totally agree," Emily whispers to us.
" Keep your gua-"
" Ready to order?"
" Wah!!"
" Sorry miss did I scare you?" The waiter asks.
" No, no I wasn't scared," I say, Matthew snickers. I clear my throat trying to hide my embarrassment.
" I would like a club sandwich please," I say.
" Same here," Matthew says.Copycat I think.
"Umm, may I please have pancakes,"Emily asks.
" I want french toast please," Des says
" Okay, thank you if you need anything just ask,"He says before leaving.
*30 Minutes Later*
" That was so good," Matthew says sighing
" Agreed," I say, the waiter walks up talking are plates and putting down our bill, I stare at it for a moment.
"Uh, who's going to pay?" I ask
"Don't look at me I don't have any money," Matthew says
" I'm broke," Des says, Emily just shrugs, they are all staring at me at me now.
" I don't have any money it was stolen when the dirt bags took my bag, AKA the ones who shot me," I say sighing. When the waiter comes back I say feeling guilty.
" Uh...We don't have any money,"
" You don't have any mon-,"
" Don't worry I'll pay for it," comes a voice behind the waiter. Who the frick is that? He walks up to our table, he's wearing a blue hoodie. It's the stalker! He turns to face me.
" Hello, I'm Tyler" He says introducing himself, I just stare at him for a minute. "Uh, this is awkward," He says, that seems to snap me out of my trance of just staring at him.
" Oh, sorry, nice to meet you," I say,
" I would ask for your name but it's a good call not to say right now, we need to get out of here, it's dangerous,"
" What?" I ask confused
" I'll explain later, just trust me on this it's not safe," He says clearly getting nervous. I stand up standing four inches shorter and ask .
" Why should I trust you?" Tyler sees the waiter coming back his face goes pale.
" Too late,"
" What?" That's when I see the waiter coming right for us.
" Here's your check," He says with a smile. It all happened so fast I could barely register what happened. Next thing I know I see the waiter on the ground. He's a corpse but not a wound on him, it looks like he aged to an....old man? but how? Next to the dead waiter is a rusted gun. I look at Tyler he's breathing hard his right hand pointing in the direction of the dead waiter. Did he do this?!
" Did you do this?!"I ask in a panicked voice. Putting down his hand he turns towards me.
" When a human is taken into enemy hands, a team of 5 shall form, one that wear others skin, another that reads minds, a third that bends ice at will, the fourth controls time, a fifth wearing wings of flight with an unawakened skill, when the skill is awakened and the five shall conquer there enemy and peace they shall find," The prophecy!
"How do you know about the prophecy?!" I ask him.
" Well I should, I'm in it," He says. Then it hits me.
" Your the last member!" I yell, he nods
" How does your power even work?" I ask him
" I can control time of objects or living things, so I can make them older or younger," He says gesturing to the dead waiter and gun.
" Uh, we should go," Matthew says, I completely forgot about them! I turn to face them just sitting there wondering the hell is happening.
" Agreed we need to go," I say, as Tyler was stepping over the waiter he said,
"No one can stop us," We all walk out of the restaurant.
" Now the team is complete, looks like next stop is getting Simeon back," I say
" What was that?" Matthew asks
" Nothing," I reply a little to fast.
"Uhhu, okay,"
